We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Erin Hightower a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Erin, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our mission here at TWP Private Tutoring is to maximize our scholars full potential academically and socially. I believe that as parents and teachers we sometimes just focus on helping our children academically and lose sight of the social part. I believe that both parts work hand in hand. Sometimes when students are lacking in their academics it means that they are lacking some type of confidence which is apart of their social. Here at TWP we create a safe place where both needs are met.
Erin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello My name is Erin Hightower and I am the founder of TWP Private Tutoring. I am fun , passionate , and engaging teacher who has been nourishing and impacting children for over 10 years.Two years ago, I took one of the biggest leaps of faith and became an entrepreneur. In September of 2021 I took another leap and left my full time job and become a full time entrepreneur. Becoming full time entrepreneur has allowed me to be fully dedicated to servicing my clients and giving them a solid foundation that is geared towards cultivating them to reach their full potential socially and academically.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy that has helped me to grow my clientele is being consistent on social media in positing tips on helping parents help their children learn and grow at home and growing and building relationships with parents and other small businesses.
What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
