We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Erin Foreman and Kasey Norton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Erin Foreman and Kasey Norton below.
Hi Erin Foreman and Kasey Norton, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear more about North Houston Moms and where the idea came from, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Committed to Giving Moms the Gift of Time, The Local Moms Network (TLMN) was founded to deliver hyper-local resources and community connections to moms in suburbs across the country. The first location was launched in Greenwich, CT over 5 years ago and TLMN is now in 100 suburbs in 26 states across the country. North Houston Moms being one of those locations!
The Local Moms Network is 100% created for moms by moms and provides a user-friendly connection in local communities via online content features and comprehensive resources, social media engagement, community inclusive event monthly newsletters and time-saving guides. The Local Moms Network has provided over a hundred talented women entrepreneurial opportunities to join our growing team and launch their own business in their communities. We believe wholeheartedly in providing moms opportunities to work from home and around their kid’s schedules.
North Houston Moms strives to be a one-stop-shop for all things moms (and dads) may need. Regional Directors of North Houston Moms, Erin Foreman and Kasey Norton, are two moms working together with a combined five kids under the age of 7, so everything shared with the audience is information they use themselves and have the ability to share with others.
Erin Foreman and Kasey Norton, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
North Houston Moms is a place for parents (new, expectant or seasoned) looking for a one-stop-source for all kinds of Mom information. North Houston Moms was created by a mom and North Houston resident – seeking to go beyond word of mouth and offer an up-to-date, informational, and exciting reference for local families who want to stay in the know about everything within the community. Readers will learn about schools, restaurants, events, camps, kids activities, museums, new store openings, local businesses and so much more! North Houston Moms covers a wide range of topics and experiences having to do with everything Montgomery County (and beyond), and the joyous chaos that comes along with being a parent.
What sets us apart is all content is local to our direct area. You are learning about businesses and events right in your backyard.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Erin and her family relocated to Austin, TX from North Houston area in 2019 and ended up two houses down from Kasey. The two became fast friends and had a bit of heartbreak when Erin’s family relocated back to North Houston in the Spring of 2022 and she started working on North Houston Moms. Well not too much longer, Kasey’s family also moved to the North Houston area and she joined forces with Erin.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is such a necessary evil as most know – but in our small corner of the internet, North Houston Moms strives to fill your feed with useful, humorous and shareable information. As two moms, Erin and Kasey know that time is valuable – so we are sharing the information you want and may not know you need. Hot summer days? We have a Splash Pad Guide for that. Wanting to grab a bite to eat? Do yourself a favor and check our Restaurants with Play Areas list!
Our social media presence is genuine, our audience is real and engaged. People are following us because we are producing quality information that parents can save and share. Additionally, partnering with local businesses that we value has helped us grow as well.
