We were lucky to catch up with Erin Ekblad recently and have shared our conversation below.
Erin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes, vacations are a must. I prepare for my absence well in advance. I always inform my clients about my vacation dates, and make sure everything is in place before I head out on vacation. I remind myself that taking time off is important for my well-being and long-term success. This ultimately benefits the business. I truly disconnect when I am on vacation.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Yes I offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to the unique needs of the energy sector. My services include:
Regulatory Compliance Consulting: I help clients understand and meet regulatory requirements at federal, state, and local levels. This includes assistance with permits, licenses, and compliance audits.
Policy Analysis and Advocacy: I provide in-depth analysis of regulatory policies and advocate on behalf of my clients to influence policy changes that impact their operations.
Risk Management: I help identify and mitigate regulatory risks that could affect my clients’ business activities, ensuring they are well-prepared for any potential challenges.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
All based on networking and by word of mouth.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Staying in close contact with clients, and reaching out to new potential clients.
