Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erin Berry. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Erin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
8 years ago, I started over completely.
From the outside, it looked like I had it all. The marriage, the house, the 2 kids, the corporate job, the cars, the travel, ect.
Looks can be deceiving….
On the inside I was dying. My relationship lacked intimacy and connection, I felt like I was going through the motions every day in every aspect of life. I was trying to be someone I wasn’t. I always felt I was meant for more, and felt completely stuck.
I just happened to take a meditation class where I learned about a concept call The Gap, which was the gap between who you present yourself to the world to be and who you actually are. The more you pretend to be something you are not, the bigger the gap.
It was a huge wake up for me. My gap was massive!
I started to see my situation in a new light and also begin to become aware that I was the only one that could bridge the gap.
In not a very graceful fashion, I blew it all up. I finally admitted that the marriage didn’t work and it was beyond repair and walked away. Not long after, I lost my corporate job due to lay offs. I also moved into a new home. I started over in just about every area of life!
Around this time, a therapist and mentor told me about chaos theory. About how when something is in chaos, it completely falls apart so that it can come back together in a new form. This is exactly what I was experiencing.
It felt like I was in a huge snow globe being shook just waiting to see where the pieces landed.
Around the time of the lay offs, I decided to open my own LLC and run my own business teaching yoga, leading retreats, and coaching. I also started to study relationship and intimacy for my own healing and in an attempt to not repeat what I had just experienced. The more I learned, the more I wanted to share it. The more I healed my own relational wounding, the more I wanted to help others do the same. The more I learned about intimacy, the more I couldn’t believe what I was experiencing, and wanted to share that too. The more I did all of this, the more I felt myself aligning with my purpose and with a life that sustained my heart, my mind, and my soul.
That was almost 8 years ago and life just keeps getting better. I now spend my days helping individuals and couples create healthy relationships full of deep intimacy. I have rewired my own nervous system for safety and secure attachment and am surround by an amazing community and healthy connections. I’ve shown my kids what is possible as women and how to live and aligned life on their terms.
I wake up every day living the life I love and on purpose.
My biggest awareness is that growth always happens in the discomfort and instead of ignoring and sucking it up, we really can have whatever we desire. Gaps keep us from living an aligned life. We are all worthy and deserving of amazing. Sometimes it takes a bit of work, and it is totally worth it!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a conscious relationship and intimacy coach. I help women and couples heal relational wounds that keep them from having the connections they desire. I also work with women around sexuality and reclaiming pleasure for themselves. I work with couples to help create deeper intimacy trough connection, communication, and tantric practices.
I work 1:1 with both individuals and couples, lead group programs for individuals, have an online course for couples, and also facilitate workshops and retreats.
I love to teach humans how to cultivate healthy connections and deep intimacy.
Much of the work I do is with the nervous system. So much of how we operate in connection stems from the ways we interacted with our caretakers. Most adults are still trying to complete those patterns in their adult connections.
I am a somatic coach and believe our greatest healing happens through the body. It was my own personal experience that I had done a lot of coaching, therapy, and energy work, and yet I was still unconsciously operating in some unhealthy ways.
The somatic work helped me clear it from my body and system.
I tend to work with powerful people who have done other work and are still feeling a bit stuck. Together we work to clear the residual emotions, stress, trauma, conditioning and stories being held in the tissues .
It’s incredible to watch just how fast people shift and what they are able to create when they are clear.
Nothing brings me more joy than creating a safe space for amazing humans to heal themselves and create the lives they desire and deserve.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Consistency. I try my best to provide good quality content on social media and through my mailing list. I also speak whenever I can at networking events and on podcasts. I’ve been doing this long enough to have learned that there is a lot of advise out there on how to run a business. Everyone has their idea of the best way. You can exhaust and overwhelm yourself trying to do it all. For me it’s been doing the things I enjoy which I think people can feel. Just keep showing up is my motto!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I feel a bit like a phoenix that has risen from the ashes quite a few times in their lives. This past year I suffered a brain injury from a ski accident. It has taken me the better part of a year to feel almost normal again. I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t work, and I couldn’t do much of what I love that brings me joy for several months.
I leaned heavily into my healing, doing cognitive therapy, vestibular therapy, working with a neurologist, massage therapist, and many other modalities. I took my healing seriously and rested as much as possible.
This also changed the way I ran my business. Although self care has always been a big part, this was next level.
I’ve been taking a lot of time this year towards healing and taking lots of brain breaks. Its made it impossible to keep working the way I was.
I’ve come back strong this fall and am seeing the results and I’m doing it from a feminine way of being with more breaks and flow. Rest is now the biggest priority, as is listening to and honoring my body.
I also learned to ask for more help and support around the parts of my business I don’t enjoy.
When I could, I got back to everything I loved with a vengeance. It’s made me appreciate it all so much more!
I believe Resilience is a key to running one’s own business and having a juicy life.
