Erika, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
Buy a 80 acre tree farm !
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My husband and I own Price Right Professional Landscaping and Tree Service. He started it back in high school just mowing lawns and it has just grown to many other things now.
Today not only do we service all DFW with our quality tree and landscape services, but most importantly we have invested in a new service : tree health care .
We believe trees are worth saving as they all speak a story. Many times customers think they have to remove a tree, but we hope to educate them by sharing other options : tree injections or tree transplanting . With our arborist certification we have been able to help many trees from diseases so they can live healthy for many more generations. When a tree does has to be moved for whatever reason we have been able to do so as well. A school in Arlington had a very special landmark tree that they needed to get removed. They thought they needed to do a full removal but we offered them a transplanting service which moved the tree location to the other side of the property .
Another exciting news was that we bought a 80 acre tree farm last year . It has been such a wild ride taking on this new property. Now we are seeing all the beautiful trees bloom and grow ready to be taken to their new homes.
STORY ABOUT TREE FARM:
This Case 1470 Traction King was produced between 1969-1972 it has a 174 house power motor and weights in 17,300 pounds. In 1991 Benito Hernandez (forman of Price Right Tree Farms) drove this tractor the previous owner bought from a local auction house several miles away to the tree farm and has used it ever since. From leveling ground for plant new seedlings to lifting and loading 8 inch trees Weighing nearly 6,000 pounds this tractor has seen and done a lot for this farm.
Benito has loved this tractor maintained and even put a new clutch in it all by himself over the years. It still does work today.
When we noticed the reliability of Case over the last 10 months of talking with Benito we knew it was a sign.
With it being a necessity to get a skid steer to be able to spade trees for our customer we looked to the all new Case tv620 B. It is the largest Skid steer ever produced for the highest demanding job. We have learned having a tree farm is very special but is a seriously demanding and difficult job so we invested in the best to provide our customer the best.

Producing and caring for the most beautiful trees that have been send out all over the country for people to enjoy on there properties. He is one of the hardest working men I have ever seen and takes pride in the job he does. Being in the tree care service for 16 years I think this year spent on the farm I have learned more than I have in the 16 years of service side. It’s so exciting to see the growing side of things and really makes my think differently about my job from start to finish”.
How’d you meet your business partner?
I met my husband in Israel while we were both in a missions trip. We both came from different worlds . I was born and raised in El Salvador which is a country in Central America. While he was born and raised in Arlington Texas . We both connected so well and became best friends . Overtime the friendship clearly became something more and we got married on November of 2013.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Price is such a hard worker and he likes to do things right. Even if he doesn’t get it right the first time he will figure it out no matter how long it takes. Our business grew from word of mouth. People were beyond satisfied with his services and integrity with his business. It was easy to fall into partnership with him in the business because he had developed a system of excellent service no matter what. He still strives for this on a daily basis and that’s why I believe customers keep coming back – he is reliable , trustworthy but most importantly he is professional.
