We were lucky to catch up with Erika Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Erika , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
As of recently, I have taken the risk to move into a space of my own while scaling a business I Co-Own. In this economic environment, I was a little hesitant. Though I am now fortunate enough to mainly live off of the support of the business, living off of a small business can be filled with so much uncertainty.
I took this risk because I knew the power of growing in an uncomfortable position. More responsibility puts me in a space with little time to wallow in self-doubt and further develop my ability to swim and even thrive rather than sink.
I knew this space will also give me the ideal place for me to dive deeper into myself, develop skills, and try hobbies I’ve been overlooking.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

With Whiskey and Rosemary contuing its lifestyle brand, we make time to travel, create community events, and work with passionate small businesses and organizations. We also spent a lot of time making connections with local farms to connect and educate oursekved about the land and spread awareness about the benefits of eating and sipping local.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
There are a few specific goals and missions that drive my creative journey. Starting with diving deeper to express, heal, and challenge myself personally and professionally. This alone makes my creative journey worth wild. Flexibility is a another driver to my creative journey. Having the ability to travel and create my schedule is important to me. A goal of mine is to continue to live and and take care of myself by doing what I enjoy. Working in any field can get exhausting whether I love it or not, so I am co- creating a business and personally creating a lifestyle that allows me to be creative, explore the flavors of many cultures, travel, and connect with people through experiences. Lastly, I hope to impact others by giving back through educational programs in underserved communities and create meaningful and soul filling community events.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Society can support art in many ways thanks to Social Media. Simply sharing, liking, and commenting can be a form of support. Support can also be shown through hiring or spread the word about artists and small business you admire for projects, especially artists and entrepreneurs that are overlooked and fall in underrepresented groups. Support can also be reaching out to share what impact you feel they are making. This personally has encouraged me to continue on my journey especially during uncertain times.
