We were lucky to catch up with Erick Lindsey Jr recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Erick , thanks for joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?
If I knew what I know Today I will tell myself to keep going Regardless if I failed. Continue to pray Faithfully. No one is going to save me but ME. Stay private. Peace is more important. The Choice Is Yours
Erick , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Right After Highschool, I went to college for business marketing for a year. Drop out, enroll in barber school. I took barbering serious in 2018. Started over from scratch getting my name out in a different city. Doing pop-up shops, invested in my own beard oil line called Miracle Shone By EJ. It wasn’t Easy especially with having No Support. But I learn That no one owes you anything including support even from your family. But when you believe in yourself & put faith in father GOD he will put people in your life to support you. You just have to believe. Now I’m am on a new journey as doing content on YouTube name ejstudios with everything I experience, motivation, politics, & entertainment.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
How I built audience on social meadia, you have to market yourself. Every post I posted i hashtag the city I’m located at. And a slogan, I always insert with the hashtag, so for example if someone is in town needing a barber in the location, My work will pop up. My advice for upcoming artist just be yourself, don’t copy what everyone is doing, What’s for you is destined for you. Also have your business profile public for people to find you on all social media platform
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What Help me build my reputation within my market is being Isolated, No support from family. being focus
