We recently connected with Erica Hay and have shared our conversation below.
Erica, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The name of business came from my parents first initials plus mine my parents are a big part of why I love doing what I do

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was born and raised right here in Memphis Tennessee my love for cooking came watching my Mother and Grandmothers in the kitchen every one thought I was going be a nurse but when enter in High School and took Home economics I was hooked but o went to school to be a dietitian but still falling in love with culinary. I worked different jobs nursing home and hospital in food service and then after that I started at Memphis City School where I retired for health reasons and then I decided to start my own business

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Well I just rebranded my business I changed the name and I’m going in a different direction with the company getting my business out there with social media marketing and do some pop up marketing which I call creating experiences for my clients

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I have to learn was that every one doesn’t have your back like that say they do and every one is not as passionate about your business as you so you need to put your big girl or boy pants on and do what you do best
