Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erica Fant. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Erica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?
Being a part of Farmhouse and working alongside my husband, Ben, is truly an ideal work environment. With the wide variety of clients we work with and the projects we take on, no two days are the same—and I love it that way! That said, I occasionally wonder what it would be like to have a standard 9-to-5. The idea of ‘clocking out’ at the end of the day or completely disconnecting with an OOO email sounds appealing in theory, but it’s just not for me.
As a business owner, my work is 24/7/365—I’m always ‘on,’ running white-hot, and staying ahead in the ever-evolving digital marketing world. But honestly, I prefer it this way. The freedom to pivot, travel, and operate on my own terms while staying connected to my work is a trade-off I’m more than happy to make. I thrive in this fast-paced, dynamic environment, and the personal fulfillment I get from it far outweighs any appeal of a standard office job.
While I don’t have one specific moment to share, it’s a constant thought I have when I catch myself replying to emails late at night or strategizing a campaign while on a weekend getaway. Those are the times I briefly wonder what it would be like to have a job where I could fully ‘clock out.’ But then I remember how much I thrive in the dynamic, fast-paced world of running Farmhouse, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I actually love being plugged in, and would feel very out of place if I was completely removed from my work, even for a weekend.

Erica, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve been with Farmhouse for eight years, and during that time, I’ve had the privilege of turning our social media services into a cornerstone of the agency’s offerings. My journey into the creative industry started with a passion for storytelling and a love for visuals—two things that blend seamlessly in digital marketing. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients, helping them craft campaigns that not only align with their brand but make a lasting impact through thoughtful messaging and high-quality visuals, whether it’s photography, videography, or design.
At Farmhouse, we focus on delivering campaigns that solve real business challenges—whether that’s building brand awareness, driving engagement, or generating leads. What sets me apart is my personal investment in each project. I don’t just create campaigns; I emotionally buy into each client’s brand, ensuring every message feels authentic and connects with their audience.
One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing the measurable impact of our work, whether it’s a successful product launch, a growing social media presence, or a client who feels their story is finally being told in the right way. At the heart of my work is a belief that creativity paired with strategy can achieve incredible results.
For potential clients and followers, I want them to know that my work is driven by a deep commitment to their success. I take a hands-on approach to every campaign, striving to make their brand stand out in a meaningful way. Whether it’s through dynamic content or fostering genuine audience engagement, my goal is to help clients thrive in an ever-evolving digital world.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe my reputation has been built on one simple yet crucial principle: delivering on promises. In an industry as fast-paced and ever-changing as digital marketing, trust is everything. Clients come to me with their goals and challenges, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ve always prioritized clear communication, setting realistic expectations, and following through with results.
Consistency has been key—whether it’s launching a campaign on time, maintaining a high standard of quality, or being readily available to address client concerns. Each project is a chance to prove that I’m fully invested in their success, and I’ve found that exceeding expectations is the best way to build lasting relationships.
Ultimately, people want to work with someone they can rely on, and I strive to be that person by combining creativity with accountability. I think that’s what has helped me earn the trust and respect of clients in my market.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the ability to tell stories in ways that resonate and leave a lasting impact. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about taking a client’s vision—sometimes just a rough idea—and shaping it into a campaign that not only meets their goals but also inspires their audience.
I love the challenge of blending strategy and artistry to create something unique and meaningful. Seeing the direct results of that work, whether it’s increased engagement, a successful product launch, or a client who feels their brand is finally being seen in the right light, is what drives me.
Ultimately, it’s about connection. Knowing that my creativity helps people feel more connected to a brand, a message, or even each other is deeply rewarding and keeps me passionate about what I do.
