Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eric Goodman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Eric , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our mission is to provide healthcare facilities for developmentally disabled adults, children and seniors with the products and services of the highest quality, so they can provide care to the residents they serve. We want to help as many people in our community as we can.

Eric , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I had a lifesaving operation at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital when he was 15 years old. I was in ICU for weeks, the hospital for months, and a full-body cast for eight months. I had to have therapy to learn how to walk again. This is the core reason he began working in healthcare and volunteering for charities.
Mountain View Services (MVS) was established in 1988, as a leading supplier of groceries, medical supplies, janitorial supplies, nutritional supplements, incontinent supplies, durable medical equipment, OTCs, personal supplies, safety and facility supplies, linens, and office supplies to healthcare facilities in Southern California and across the US. I began in sales and progressively advanced my career at MVS going back over 30 years and acquired the company from the original owners in 2020.
I so acquired our Family Business, Chem-Pak who is a supplier to MVS and services the community with similar items the past 37 years. Making our companies three generations and multiple locations across Southern California with nation wide shipping.
I serve on the Board of Directors for many Foundations and Nonprofit who help disabled adults, children and seniors.
• Ronald McDonald House
• Developmental Services Network
• Passkeys Foundation
• American Heart Association
• Mountain Shadows Foundation
. Team Kids
. Junior Achievements
. CSUF Center for Leadership
. MVS Foundation

Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.
I acquired MVS and Chem-Pak from their founders in 2020 and 2023, it was important for the previous owner to know that I had the same passion for thier clients. What demonstrated that philosophy was my decades long tenure with the companies and my personal touch with many if not most of their clients. Future acquisitions to further build out MSV with Chem-Pak would follow the similar philosophy of respecting each and every client relationship.
Company Culture is Key:
The company culture at MVS and Chem-Pak stems from the very meaningful work and service we provide our communities. Our long-tenured staff (36 years plus) who know most of their customers by name have a real passion for the residents in the facilities they services.
Our companies culture is truly unique, while we could have easily acquired new clients and top-line revenue during the pandemic considering we are a supplier of medical supplies, equipment and disinfectant items which was in extreme high-demand, we chose to be the most reliable and dependable supplier of such needed its for our existing customer base and forgo short-term profit knowing how at-risk residents in these facilities were.
Our impact and/or philanthropy is summed up by my favorite saying “The more people we meet, the more people we can help. We want to make an impact in our community by supporting charitable causes, providing medical supplies and products to people in need, and helping healthcare facilities serve their residents.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Being born disabled and have in my lifesaving surgery could have been a setback or reason to give up and not help others but it change the course of my life. I used it to set my destiny. Another quote I often say is:” My disabilities don’t define me, they motivate me!”
I continue to build out my senior management team since his acquiring the companies, I also bring in outside expertise to help grow. I see my role more as a visionary than as an integrator. In the role of visionary I want to expand MVS and Chem-Pak’s influence in the Southern California market through various volunteer and outreach opportunities even more so than what we are currently doing. I never give up! The more set-backs or walls we have to climb to help others the more I am motivate to do it. My passion from my disability and my faith drives me daily.
