We recently connected with Eric Anderson and have shared our conversation below.
Eric, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
“At The Magic of Giving, our mission is rooted in the belief that every child deserves an opportunity for success. Our journey began with a young street performer who learned the transformative power of small acts of kindness. Through his experiences, he discovered the importance of communication, empathy, and never making assumptions about those facing adversity.
Inspired by these lessons, we are dedicated to providing families with the essential support they need to prevent minor challenges from turning into major life obstacles. We offer financial assistance, tools, and resources to empower individuals and strengthen communities.
Our vision is to create a world where compassion and understanding lead to positive change. Together, we can make a difference, one small gesture at a time.”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As a kid, I started street performing as a magician. This gave me the opportunity to practice my craft and taught me how to communicate and relate to different types of people.
One day, years later while performing, I decided to take a break to get some lunch. After finishing my lunch and about to throw the leftover food into the trash, a homeless person approached me and asked if he could have the food I was about to throw away. I gave him the food, and he was very thankful.
As a street performer, I had many homeless people ask me for money, but this experience with the food I was about to discard really caught my attention. That day, I returned to street performing and thought about what I could do. After some thought, I decided I would offer to take a homeless person to lunch while performing on the street. If they were willing, I would ask a few questions about their story, hoping they would share some information with me.
I quickly discovered that they were very willing to share their experiences. I also realized that you should never assume why someone is in the situation they are in. Some people were honest about making bad choices, while others found themselves in bad situations that spiraled out of control to the point where they felt it was impossible to recover.
I was able to relate to this because I aged out of the foster care system, and at one point, I found myself homeless. It was exactly that—a minor situation that spiraled out of control until I became homeless. I was able to recover, but I understood how it could happen to someone without a support system.
During this period in my life, one day while street performing, a guy approached me and asked me for $10. He said he would pay me back next week. I gave him a $10 bill, and I didn’t think much about it. Well, next week came, and the guy returned, reminding me that I had given him $10 the previous week. He handed me $20 and said, “Thank you very much,” repeating, “Man, you really helped me out last week.”
I had numerous situations like this happen, and it planted the seed for the magic of giving. Oftentimes, small gestures can have a massive impact on someone else’s life.
I went from the streets to corporate suites and became an entertainer, brand ambassador, and spokesperson, helping Fortune 500 corporations sell over $3 billion worth of their products and services at events around the world.
Fast forward to today, the majority of what I do is as a consultant, producing my own seminars, events, and products, teaching people how to reach their dreams and goals by following their passions.
With that said, based on the previous experiences I shared earlier, I created an organization called “The Magic of Giving!” We provide families with financial assistance, tools, and resources to help prevent minor situations from spiraling out of control into major life challenges, because every child deserves a chance at success.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I asked a very successful person how to market my business. He told me exactly what to do. I listened intently and walked off, saying to myself, “That will work for him, but it won’t work for me.” Anyway, I continued to search, and I kept coming across the technique he shared with me. About three years later, I said, “Let me give it a try.” I tried exactly what he suggested three years prior and made $22,000 from a $750 investment. This money started pouring in days after I implemented what he suggested. This marketing strategy has become one of the most powerful that I have ever used.
The lesson I had to unlearn is thinking somehow people are more special than I am. They’re not. If what they’re sharing is not what I call a “Happy Accident Strategy,” meaning they just got lucky, then if someone else can do it, so can you. And guess what? Your results could be WAY better than the person you learned from. Having this experience changed my entire outlook on what I could achieve.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I learned that nobody knows how good you are at what you do until AFTER they experience what you do. So when someone finally experiences what you deliver, make sure you OVER DELIVER to the point they say WOW!
