We recently connected with Eresseie and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Eresseie, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?
My “first real” earnings as a musician came two years ago, thanks to Fiverr. I still remember the excitement when I received my first order: I had to sing a small portion of a song. It was a simple task, but the idea of lending my voice to someone else’s project made me incredibly happy.
From that moment on, more orders started coming in, and over time, the earnings became more consistent. While they’re not yet enough to fully sustain me, every small step forward gives me confidence and motivates me to keep going. It was the first chapter of a journey I hope will grow even bigger.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m an Italian metal singer and I play the hurdy-gurdy. Since I was a child, I’ve had a close relationship with music. I loved singing, and when I was two, I danced with my mother to Litfiba’s songs, ahaha. I started studying singing thanks to a friend of my father’s who had heard me sing at the gatherings my parents occasionally hosted. I’ve always been very shy and introverted, so it wasn’t easy to convince me, but once I started, I never stopped. I’ve faced (and continue to face) many challenges over the years, but they’ve helped me grow both personally and musically. Now, my goal is to make music my career because I’ve realized that nothing fulfills me more than expressing myself through music and helping others create it. I have several projects lined up, both with my band (Fenrir’s Children) and as a solo artist. If you’re curious, follow me on social media 😉
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I believe it’s important to give more recognition to the work of musicians, which is often not just a hobby, but a true profession that requires dedication, effort, and sacrifice. In many cases, society tends to overlook this aspect.
Additionally, it would be helpful to find ways to encourage venues to host more live performances, creating spaces where artists can perform and gain exposure. Live performances are essential not only for musicians but also for the audience, who have the opportunity to connect directly with the music and the energy of the artists. A system that better supports the creative ecosystem would help to value the talent and passion behind every artistic project.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is definitely knowing that my music reaches people, that they listen to my songs, come to my concerts, and feel inspired by what I do. Knowing that my music has a positive impact on others, that it can evoke emotions or make them reflect, is what motivates me to keep going and to improve every day.
