Alright, Erashea thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I’ve had one client who adores my craft but couldn’t afford a makeup session so I surprised her with a free glam!!And now she is a regular client! It’s not always about the money it’s truly about making a change in the world and showing others that there are still some genuine people left.
Erashea , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Self-Taught Makeup Artist located in Memphis TN. I’ve been doing Makeup Professionally Since June of 2021.As a little girl It has always been a dream of mine, I love and learn so much from my clients, and for that I am thankful. Makeup is a form of art,I love how I can make my clients feel like a million dollars just by transforming their face into radiant art.It makes them feel more confident. I have changed so many lives just by perfecting my craft. I have a pure vision, unique style, a welcoming personality and attentive listening skills. My profession allows me to be creative. My goal is to show my clients and future/potential clients that i have great quality work and I genuinely care about helping people look their absolute best.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for me had always been word of mouth. New of clients have been referred to me from most of my regular clients. Also posting my content via Facebook, and Instagram helped my build my clientele.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Of course, it did! I became a full time Makeup artist 2 months after doing Makeup. I took a leap of faith and walked away from my 9-5 job.I was successful, and business was great but then it started to slow down mid 2022.I know that’s what comes with being an entrepreneur. I’m grateful for it all. I currently work a 9-5 job and do Makeup on the side. I know I’ll be back full time doing what I love the most.
