We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Enrique Manon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Enrique below.
Alright, Enrique thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Who is your hero and why? What lessons have you learned from them and how have they influenced your journey?
I used to have heroes. Now, sincerely, I have people who inspire me.
A person who inspires me is David Lynch. Lynch’s work is a product of different variables, one of which is innovative.
His art is intuitive and passionate. The way he does movies, the way he works, and the process of his storytelling are so bold. His artistry breaks different boundaries. His films and commercials are nothing you can say is average, and that allows me to question myself about being unique. Why did I put my focus on this? Being unique is key in the process of creativity.
In my experience, being unique is not something that you get to do so easily; it requires being brave, and it also requires doing your project and pushing it to the limits. The heavy influence on the aesthetic is something that I want to pursue in my art is not only to copy them but to adapt that to my message.

Enrique, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a photographer based in Phoenix. I migrated from Mexico City. I started as a photojournalist, and I instantly fell in love with the profession. The reason is that I believe deeply in discovering who they are and how I can portray them. It is a connection.
I want to meet you. My goal is to create a synergy between both and from that experience shift to the photograph.
My services are portraiture and social events. I offer digital photography and prints and albums.
I help my clients figure out how to show and express their ideas, identity, and their feelings in an image. My clients are looking for someone they can relate to and trust.
The experience that I offer my clients is that they can be open with me about their story. They trust my way of handling the posing, making their shoot run smoothly and making the imagination the main thing on their session.
I am proud of the number of people I had the honor of meeting and how they shared their journeys through shooting them.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The mission is to make images give a sense of wonder in people’s eyes. AI is changing the paradigm, but we should still look for the real deal. We can not let artificial intelligence take over everything for us. I believe images can still makes feel something. My purpose is still to give the idea of things made by us an important role, the role of creativity. They make it, fail until you get successful. I don’t blame AI; it is about us taking a risk in order to stay relevant in the creative world.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My journey has been difficult. As a migrant, I have encountered so many challenges. These challenges translate into whether you can still live in the place that you want to live. The fact of having a reduced number of tools and the challenges of growing does not stop you. My story is about selling my equipment and just working with the necessary in order to deal with the everyday commitments.
