We recently connected with Enrique Enn and have shared our conversation below.
Enrique, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
What a better way to start this interview than by telling the story behind my mission, basically this story starts from the moment I decided to take a new course and leave my country in 2014, with my sister and one of my best friends we undertook this journey or rather this mission chasing a dream although at that time the dream was not as defined as today’s sun if I was in search of it, in conclusion, great things have happened throughout this journey, good experiences and others not so much but the most important thing is that all of them have left me a lot of learning which has helped me throughout personal and professional life, long story short, the story took a small change, a direction and a more concrete purpose 2 years ago when I had a little encounter with God, from this most of the things I work on have a very specific meaning and something more than just a painting, always working on the great mission of building a better world, even in a small way by taking my art to every corner on this world that the opportunity presents itself!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Enrique Enn a Painter from an small city in Venezuela called “San Cristobal, Tachira”, I started painting when I was around 14 years old doing graffiti, with the time, I introduced myself to Graphic Design working for some friends learning everything off YouTube Videos, doing research on Google and finding helpful information on the internet, time passed by, I moved to U.S. and started looking for a graphic designer Job, I got the opportunity to collaborate with some singers for their Art Covers one of them was Bad Bunny for his single “Pa’ Ti Ft. Bryant Myers” in December 2016, through all this time I stopped making art I was doing it someway in digital but physically, in 2020 I decided to start painting again organizing all my ideas a little better and thank God it worked! In 2022 I got the opportunity to participate in Art Basel for the show “Red Dot Miami” where I sold out all my pieces in canvas and some works on paper.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe what is been helping me are all the little things that I’ve learned in the past about different stuff other than my path like knowing a little of social media, SEO, networking, and always being open for new connections, is always helpful to have the right people on your side and always left the ego!
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Definitely social media and just trying different stuff! Following my conviction and not what other people is doing.
