We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Eno Eka. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Eno below.
Eno, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
We all know how prevalent Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming in all our lives. I believe that AI is already having such a major impact in many industries and in people’s lives. In fact, I just announced my exciting new AI powered career software tool (See my recent Instagram post on it here). With this AI software, you will be able to optimize your job search using AI, find job postings quicker, enhance your LinkedIn profile to attract more recruiters, and create interview-clinching CVs!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Eno Eka, a business analyst, and the CEO of Eny Consulting and the Business Analysis School. As a Nigerian immigrant, I made the journey to Canada in pursuit of a better life and career. Through hard work and dedication, I achieved remarkable success by securing a 6-figure consultant job within just six months. My passion lies in helping professionals elevate their skills and experience to transition into lucrative tech careers. To date, I have provided coaching to over 100,000 individuals from across 90 countries, empowering them to achieve their career goals in the tech industry, regardless of their background. I coach people to examine the skills and talents they already possess. Many of them can tap into those by being a paid consultant, too. At the Business Analysis School, we specialize in providing business/I.T./tech-related education along with consulting services tailored to helping professionals leverage their skills to land high paying jobs. Many students are immigrants just like me, and a lot of them feel like they need to start all over again from scratch in a new job market. A common obstacle they encounter is the belief that their lack of “local” experience will hinder their job prospects. However, our unique approach focuses on highlighting the valuable skills and experiences they already possess for hot jobs such as business analysts in leading industries. My mission is to equip them with the necessary tools and expertise to enable our students to secure not only well-paying jobs, but also fulfilling careers aligned with their aspirations, just like I was able to do.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I actually started in the accounting field. Even though I was good at working with numbers, I did not see myself doing that monotonous job for the rest of my life. Yet, I wanted more. I came from Lagos, Nigeria where I worked hard but was struggling in low-paying jobs. When I finally left and immigrated to Canada in 2018, I did so without knowing how to succeed as a young professional woman. Incredibly, I arrived there only to discover that my luggage was lost and I only had $500 to my name! I had to consider what were some of the hottest fields to enter that were fast-growing and would allow me to grow and earn a 6-figure income, so I explored the tech field and, specifically, business analysis. It did not happen overnight, but with a lot of hard work and dedication. Within six months, I did land a six-figure salary and, as I embraced entrepreneurship, I grossed over $1 million annually nearly two years later with a thriving thought leadership brand which is my Business Analysis School I had started. I now have established my business in the U.S. to help more people use their existing skills to land 6-figure jobs and to do the same. Here is an example of me offering an online webinar through this video here.
Aside from my school, I am also the host of the Fireside Chat with Eno Livestream Podcast where I share valuable insights on job search tips and strategies for new immigrants. I regularly host online webinars teaching people how to unlock global career opportunities without having tech skills. Through my Business Analysis School, I have students do practical projects, ask questions, and learn more about the different popular tech jobs such as business analysis, data analysis, product management, user research, and so forth. You will obtain a certificate within six months. I also review job search techniques such as how to use AI in your job search, how to create your resume and online LinkedIn profile with strategies to nail interviews and land 6-figure jobs. One can also look at their current skills and talents that they already possess and offer your skills as a paid consultant. To date, I have coached over 100,000 individuals from across 90 countries, empowering them to achieve their career goals in the tech industry.
