We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ennio Skoto. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ennio below.
Ennio, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I was raised in the Dominican Republic where my journey with music started. After graduating from high-school, my mom knew how passionate I was for music and brought me to Miami with no set plan for my next venture. Leaving my family and friends behind was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but with time I’ve realized how important it was for me to move and focus on my future.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My fast-paced energy is translated into my craft, making music. With strong roots from the island I keep a happy and energetic ambiance through my everyday encounters. I got into the music/audio industry after being curious how sound is amplified and started creating sound systems at the age of fourteen. From that moment I knew the art of sound was going to be carried with me along the way for me to decide that I wanted to pursue a professional career in the music/audio industry.
In 2012, I officially started a sound engineering/audio production bachelor’s degree as well as crafting my deejay skills playing electronic music at local venues in South Florida. I am a sound engineer, deejay and producer. I also work in music publishing creating relationships with songwriters and producers in the Latin market. I believe what sets me apart from others is how eclectic my music is whether deejaying or producing. What makes me proud are my family, friends, and what surrounds me daily. I want my followers to understand how music is my form of freedom to express and integrate all of my interests through art, photography and relationships.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Building a space for music enthusiasts to enjoy sound in a HiFi sound environment.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The opportunity to connect and collaborate with creatives from multiple disciplines ranging from visual arts, photography and of course, music.
