We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Endigo Weirdie . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Endigo below.
Alright, Endigo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Well prior to taking my artistic path professionally, I had been on a journey finding my way in life. In 2013 I was falsely accused for a crime that I didn’t comment and had to deal with rippled affects. The case was dismissed in court but not in the computer system which plagued me years later. Doing everything (legal) from selling hookahs, dashikis, and odd jobs in between to make ends meet, someone (Rabea Ballin) accidentally saw my work then purposely asked me to bring a few pieces to see and from there is where my art journey began. In retrospect, I feel like the universe got tired of waiting for me to get in my purpose.. so it forced my hand in a way.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am Endigo Weirdie an creative, artist, fashion designer. I paint using mixed media, create in multiple ways including graphics design for logos, product brands, and recording artist album covers. And I also cut and sew.
I provide original and custom art for collectors, I provide graphic design for customers looking for a logo, advertisement formats, and album covers for recording artist. Also I’m starting my own fashion line, a denim based line for those who have a special thing for denim.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Absolutely to go back with what I said about being falsely accused, it was most definitely a test of resilience. I was facing 5-99 years for something I had absolutely nothing to do with. I had to deal with it for the sake of my life. I don’t mean to come of as arrogant when I say I believe alot would’ve folded under pressure. Well that pressure molded me. And in hindsight, for the better.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My children. They are my mission and the goal, any and everything I do in my artistic journey is for my two kids. Any kind of fame, money, success, or whatever positive from this journey is for their benefit, their future, and livelihood. They are the fuel I need whenever my mental and emotional tank gets low.
