Empress, appreciate you joining us today. Being a business owner can be really hard sometimes. It’s rewarding, but most business owners we’ve spoken sometimes think about what it would have been like to have had a regular job instead. Have you ever wondered that yourself? Maybe you can talk to us about a time when you felt this way?

I’m ecstatic as a business owner. There are no words to describe my happiness to have the ability to do what I love and build stability from it. There has not been many times that I have really wish to return to a regular job. The mindset really is trusting self and ignoring the opinions of others where society has pushed it’s own agenda, that if you’re not working a ,”quote on quote” regular job then there is not success. But what we sometimes forget that’s right in our face, is that in order to even work a regular job someone was the CEO. There are those who were built to be CEOs and there are those who are for employees. Neither one is more important than the other, we need both in order to keep things going. There is no position better than the other they both need each other . Consistency and understanding that mistakes happen is a part of the lesson to become a successful entrepreneur. There will be hard moments, as let’s not forget we have not been taught how to run companies so we learn as we go. Resilience is key and even more a passion for what one loves to do. You have to want it just as bad as you want the oxygen that you breathe.

Empress, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My brand is here to promote knowledge,empowerment, creativity and connection with self. Whether it’s from helping someone find their way spiritually, regardless of religious background or conquering anxiety ,self-doubt, but even more a playful energy that allows us to see things in a more colorful and balanced way.My books also promote imagination for children, while as they read, it awakens their mind.Removing limiting beliefs they are not even aware of yet. We all have a power from within and most of that is gained through knowledge and exploration. To put it simply I’m here to help others truly feel content with their life and surroundings and what that looks like to them not with the world or myself says it should look like.

Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.

The biggest lessons that I had to unlearn was I did not necessarily need to work for someone I have the ability to work for myself and that it was doable. I also had to understand that what others may feel to be the way to get to success was their vision,not mine. I didn’t need to follow someone else’s blueprint, I can create my own by investing into myself with knowledge following a path towards my own personal success. Others that were successful are allowed to inspire me and then I put my own spin on it.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Consistency is what builds your audience on social media.Supporting others helps others who will support you while making content that people can relate to and understand. It’s about being realistic as well. Even more doing the research of times, certain music that you can do things with, it’s all about tuning into your audience and what they actually want to see or what’s intriguing for them.
