Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to EMMYROSE NOWINSKI. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
EMMYROSE, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
I am defined and guided by the words of my firstborn, Dustin Alexander Nowinski. Before his death at 15, of bone cancer, he turned to me one night and said: “God wants you to teach to the soul. Many people have unevolved souls. You are to evolve them.” A couple of days later, he passed into the arms of angels. And although he’s in a different realm, his words, burned into my heart, guide me daily as I help those who seek my help through my gift of healing.
Although I have always had the gift that the universe has blessed me with, there were times I hid it. I was afraid that people wouldn’t understand or make fun of me. But weren’t they the ones with the unevolved souls? I had to decide that my son’s words given to me would take me into the light of love.
I have been reading professionally now for over 20 years. While healing people through tarot cards and mediumship, I have learned that people all want the same thing: To be loved, to feel valued, to have hope that no matter how bad the circumstances are, never give up.
The bottom line, no matter how many people I help, it’s always with the prayer that I am doing what my son, my firstborn, blessed me with his wise words.

EMMYROSE, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I was very young when I had my first vision. An angel of light came to me and told me that “God loves me. You will heal.” I was so young when I told my mother, she thought I had a sweet imaginary friend! Growing up, sometimes it would be hard to keep my visions to myself, and it did cost me friendships (never tell a friend that her dog will die oh boy, that ends friendships real fast!)
When I was 14, my blessed Mother had a friend, Lynn, who was a professional tarot reader. Fortunately, she took me under her mentorship and taught me to bring my visions to life by working with tarot cards. It would hone my skills and keep things more “contained.” (I noticed I didn’t lose friendships after that :-))
I learned, I listened, I committed to the universe 100% and soon she had me reading at different fairs. I found I loved helping people. I loved that at the end of a reading, whether they were crying or laughing, they felt “relief” that they could go on. We are all on our freeway of life. Some get detoured, but I can help them get back on their freeway of life again!
Throughout the years, I would do tarot on and off.
As I stated previously, people have a strange fascination with mysticism.
Some are afraid of it. Some use religion as an excuse to make fun of me, or they hide behind religion.
But I find that those who are sceptics sit with me, they become believers at the end of my readings.
I have worked with all kinds of people from different walks of life. I am proudest when I can reach to their souls and help them evolve. After all, we are here to love, grow, learn, and return to the light, leaving the world in a better place. And my son’s words resonate always.
My pet peeve is when a client comes to me and tells me that other readers told them they have a “curse” on them. They are told to pay the psychic hundreds of dollars, and they can get rid of the curse. Nonsense. It makes it harder for those who are truly gifted to be believed. In every business, some are cons.
I do not advertise much. I don’t have to. I truly believe the universe sends me those who need me. I am known for my integrity and honesty and sense of humor. Sometimes, you need the humor. I know, to some that may sound ironic – “what a psychic, honest? Yes, if you walk with the light.
My favorite is when I found missing children and they were safe.
My sadness is when people ask if someone they love will die.
I never answer and tell them that “God did not include that in the contract.” Even if I see it, I won’t say it. Always give a person hope.
I have a blessed life of giving, healing, and getting people to believe in themselves.
It’s the best gift ever.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
I know what I do is quite different from the “norm”
I’m not a doctor or a nurse or a teacher or a first responder (though they all come to me for guidance)
I didn’t go to college to learn to be a tarot reader/medium/healer. It was given to me without consent. It just came as a gift with no return box.
I can tell you this bit of advice. No matter what you do, you must always remember that you are holding someone’s soul dear to you. They are asking for advice. They are asking to be helped. They are asking for guidance. Or perhaps they are there to help you. Always meet a person where they are at.
I have learned that each of us is seeking something. Be it love, worth, purpose, empowerment, or belief. They came to YOU for a reason.
Even those who are skeptical, I have to meet them where they are at.
Also, I have found in my field (especially mine) to be honest. If I can’t read a person, I tell them. I also tell them if I made a mistake. Being honest is worth more than gold. I
If I’m not connecting with Spirit, I’m having a really bad day.
My learning is listening. My learning is being open. My learning is having empathy.
Be you. Without sounding trite or some meme, it’s the truth that you were put here at this time for a reason. Live it. Find it. Be it.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The number one lesson I had to unlearn is to drop the ego.
Once your ego gets involved with reading tarot or mediumship, you
lose the Spiritual connection given to you.
It’s not about you. I have had the lesson between staying in Spirit and not giving off
the cuff advice because the question was so obvious, it didn’t need tarot cards.
I also had to unlearn that not all that is read or seen all lollipops and unicorns.
Having the vision of Covid a couple of months before it happened wasn’t pleasant,
but I could warn my clients that “something was going to affect us universally.” or
“No, you won’t get married in January 2020” had to be said.
I hear a lot of questions, a lot of stories, a lot of secrets. There are times I want
to perhaps laugh at a teenager, who to me is way out in left field, but to them
means something at the moment.
And sometimes I needed to use humor. When going into mediumship, I may start with
“let me check to see if heaven has wi-fi today.” This puts the person at ease, and a bit of
humor goes a long way
From the profane to the sacred.
