We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Emme Pack a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Emme, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
A few specific moments where I made a difference for families and realized I have a unique offering within the field have motivated me to unfold and move into the space of impact meant for me.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Emme Pack, BS, CPM, IBCLC
Immersed in birth work, lactation, and family health since 2000, Emme provides trauma-informed holistic midwifery care and sex-positive education framed by a shared decision-making model and informed choice during preconception, prenatal, birth, postpartum, lactation, and early childcare that is evidence-based and home-centered. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC more than welcome. My focus revolves around a person’s unique vision while supporting healthy nutrition, mindset, and
movement.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I pack an ample “toolbox” of skills, knowledge, and experience so that I can safely and mindfully support birthing people and families through their childbearing years with peace, wisdom and confidence that stays with them in a life-expansive way for the long term.
Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
If I hadn’t experienced my own first pregnancy and birth, I would not have moved into maternity and lactation care but some other field where the core mission can be accomplished. The main passion that moves me in professional, volunteer, and personal engagements is protecting and amplifying the potent autonomy of an individual otherwise in a vulnerable circumstance. Children, elderly, underserved, pregnant, and others that are equally important and worthy deserve to be heard and lifted. I’m committed to ensuring they have a voice and that their choices are well-informed and protected.
