We caught up with the brilliant and insightful BTF “Before The Fame” a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
BTF, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
Honestly, I am happy I started when I started because I understand it’s a journey that we all have to go through, Despite when you start. I have always been doing music since my early teens, I remember uploading songs that I made on my phone to Audiomack and SoundCloud, where I first started at. And since then I have continue to progress and develop as an artist I see a huge difference since then, and I hope to see more progress as I continue to develop
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I always had interest in music because I loved listening to it and I figured out these artists are also humans, so I somehow got into making my own music just for fun and as I grew older, I realized that it’s something I could do myself. So one thing led to another, I started making connections, started experimenting. I went from recording myself to linking up with top producers and artists. And I am at the point where I know for a fact I will not be looking back until I make a big time because I have invested a lot to come as far as I have got and I don’t intend to stop this far, I want to continue going.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Most rewarding aspect for me would be making a name for myself, not only a name, but a name that will live down to become one of the greatest. Having supporters listen to my music and be able to relate, no one, I have a group of supporters who believe in me and believe in what I am doing as a creative, and it could be those who could just like how it sounds. But I would also like to give back to those who help me along the way, and who believed in me along the way.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media is not easy at all. I started off with my audience, only being my friends and acquaintances who i knew, but now, since I started doing music, I post what I do, from music, to music videos, to shows, and also pictures of course, and now my main target audience are supporters, friends or business. You want to engage your followers, You don’t want to spam a lot, but you also you want to showcase your craft. That’s how you get more followers, you get more target audience, those who are interested in the same things you are doing will somehow stumble across your page, pay for ads, get your creation out there. It is really important as well.
