Alright, Emily Alexandra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
Growing up as a child my parents were extremely loving to my sister and I… My father was a merchant marine and would sale for many months at a time. My mom was a grant writer and architect which would I have her travel Out of town many times throughout the year… But even so, they both loved my sister and I dearly and showed affection, and I know that really traveled into my adolescent ears and now as an adult. Showing love and affection to everyone I come into contact with is just part of my nature which spills out into my work & personality. I know having a good heart is what people want to see and work with in this world
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Conversations about M&A are often focused on multibillion dollar transactions – but M&A can be an important part of a small or medium business owner’s journey. We’d love to hear about your experience with selling businesses.
Back in 2015 I sold a business that I founded with my partner Erman Baradi which was a Q&A panel company based out of Los Angeles. We branched out into Virginia, New York, and Miami… We had the business for two years And made it highly successful. But when 2015 had things begin to change in my life and my interest went a different avenue… And at that point he essentially bought me out and I left the company.
To this day, that business is still thriving out of Los Angeles
It makes me feel really happy, knowing that he continued the business to be even more successful and thriving… I was the cofounder and helped build that company from the ground up, so to see it still alive, makes me so happy ! Makes me feel accomplished
Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.
I recently just bought a mulch factory with a partner of mine, and we are currently in the infancy days of establishing this mulch manufacturing company.
We bought it from previous owners which had tore it to the ground, so we are essentially building it from the ground up
It’s a lot of work, but very exciting and thrilling for this new journey and a completely new field…. so I will keep you updated on how that goes
