We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Emilio Alvarado. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Emilio below.
Emilio, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had started sooner?
I definitely do. I’ve always created art since before I could even write. I only really started creating 3d art in 2018, and went full-time in 2021. I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in some projects that I would’ve never believed possible before, and am always curious on what else I could’ve achieved if I started much earlier.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Emilio, also known as Tiko, an artist mainly creating through 3d digital art, and interactive experiences. I originally got into it wanting to create my dream game, learning unity and blender back in 2018. Around 2020 I started working with musicians online on their visual media, sometimes branching out to companies and content creators. My work ranges from static images, videos, 3d models, game or animation preparation of 3d models, game development, or interactive digital experiences. The main problem I solve for my clients and what set me apart from others, is that I’m usually able to match the quality they’re can’t find anywhere else, or complete a task that they weren’t sure was even possible. I pride my work in being able to do many things in an already difficult to learn industry.
Usually my clients would want to know if I’m able to tackle their issue or vision, but I post almost all of my work on my instagram or portfolio, which helps them understand what I can do. I try to keep people updated on the process, and what it takes to create in this medium, coupled with powerful or unique visuals.
After having the privilege of amassing the credits of Dwyane Wade, CBS Sports, Kansas City Chiefs, Gunna, The Crew Leage, Adidas, Snipes, Soulja Boy, and much more, I’m very much looking forward to what the future holds.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Doing what you enjoy, and what feeds your soul. It’s easy to get caught up in your day job, or go through the motions, but coming back to the one thing that isn’t always some structured process or stressful situation to relax and express yourself is extremely important.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Fostering relationships. I was never a fan of networking or reaching out to people, but have been continually working on that, and understanding how important people are to the process. You can’t and don’t have to always do everything alone, and it’s important to set the ego aside and recognize that.
