Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Emilie Anne Richardson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Emilie Anne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
Legacy, a great word. One that refers to the overall impact or influence a person has on the world, even after they are gone.
My goal is to make people feel heard, feel important and to spread positivity in my reviews and information about restaurants, drinks, and foods. My wish is to leave a legacy of kindness. Regardless of the what is going on around us, they can show acts of kindness.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, I’m Emilie Anne Richardson, born in California, raised in Central Texas. I am a business owner, with my husband Frank, and in 2018, I started a food review blog on Instagram, sharing fun facts about food, drinks and restaurants from a positive perspective.
My brand is @emilieannetexas on Instagram.
Previously Eats with Emilie.
I love to showcase the good in every bite! Focusing on lifting others up, pointing out great spots to eat and fun foodies to follow, in Texas and beyond.
My background in writing and managing, helps me relate with other owners of restaurants and gives me an insider’s look into operations. Learning about people’s stories, their challenges and journey, is always a wonderful way to learn more about a brand. That is what I love about the food industry – the stories and creations! Seeing the positive aspects about various restaurants, chefs, wines, events and delicious desserts! Sharing my thoughts with others, encouraging and lifting others up is so rewarding.
I am most proud of starting my blog from scratch, at a time of loss in my life. I used the opportunity to build and encourage myself and those around me, just by snapping pics and writing my thoughts. It became contagious!
Join me in my journey! I took a break last year, when my family moved north of Austin. I am back now on Instagram with a fresh account @emilieannetexas. Follow along to see spots, food fun and delish drinks!
I encourage you to go out, find your passion and share it with others.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being artistic is like breathing for me.
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is viewing life from a beautiful perspective: a combination of colors, the placement of things, and capturing these and building a “canvas” through words and photography. Presenting a narrative that supports sustainibility and local businesses, all while lifting others up with kindness and consideration, is so fullfilling.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Building your audience on social media comes from being authentic and supporting others. Be yourself, express your brand through a style of writing and posting that is friendly and grabs the reader from the start. Take some time to comment kindly on at least 5 other accounts every time you log on, showing support of other’s accounts. Soon you will have a group of folks that enjoy what you are sharing and you learn from them as well!
