We recently connected with Emanuel Green and have shared our conversation below.
Emanuel, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Growing up as a foster kid in a small town, the odds weren’t exactly in my favor. But adversity can be a powerful motivator. I always craved a challenge, and while a sports injury dashed my Olympic dreams, it redirected my focus to music. I dove into rapping and songwriting, landing a distribution deal before graduation. The music industry taught me that external success doesn’t always equate to internal fulfillment and what looks good on the outside isn’t always the best on the inside.
I yearned for independence and control over my path. So, I traded in the mic for the boardroom. Three business ideas, countless setbacks, and a crash course in the realities of entrepreneurship later, I realized the most crucial step was to simply start.
Business schools teach you to work for someone else. The real lessons come from doing. Local resources like the SBA were invaluable, but nothing beats diving in headfirst. Business plans are essential, but flexibility is key. Every situation is unique, and the best education comes from experience. Ultimately, it’s about taking that first step, learning from your mistakes, and persistently moving forward.

Emanuel, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most limiting beliefs I had to shed was being taught that money is inherently bad. It’s a misconception fueled by envy and the actions of a few. The truth is, money is simply a tool. Like any tool, it can be used for good or ill. It’s about who wields it, not the money itself.
For too long, I let this misconception hinder my financial progress. Subconscious resentment towards those with wealth and feeling like I didn’t deserve wealth myself created a self-imposed barrier to my own success. It was a toxic mindset that had to go.
To achieve financial independence and build a sustainable business, you must respect money as a resource. It’s the lifeblood of any enterprise. By understanding its power and using it wisely, you can create opportunities, generate jobs, and positively impact your community. It’s essential to shift your perspective from viewing money as a villain to seeing it as a means to an end.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My journey began with an uphill battle. As the youngest child of a seventy something year old father who passed away when I was a baby, my very existence felt like a testament to resilience. The odds were stacked against me from the start. Yet, here I am. It’s a stark realization that to simply be alive is a victory.
Life is filled with challenges, and it’s easy to let them wear us down. But I’ve learned that the ability to persevere, to keep moving forward despite setbacks, is a core part of who I am. It’s a quality forged in the crucible of existence. As long as my heart beats, I’ll keep fighting, I’ll keep growing, and I’ll keep striving.
