We recently connected with Elysia and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Elysia, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
Honestly, I love to create the space for my creativity to just be and flourish. So much about creation starts with creating the right space and environment for it to come through me. I love creating rituals and practices to get me in the state to create rather than forcing it… The worse thing a person can do is try to force creativity.
I love to consistently do things that inspire me and make me feel creative. I love to paint, dance, sing, write, and shop / create new looks for myself. Being able to expressing myself creatively through my body/movement, dancing, singing, fashion, hair, and nails feels so important to me and my soul!
Secondly, I LOVE to live, laugh, play, and just “be.” I am projector in human design, so that means I filter my energy very differently than about 70% of the world. I need lots of time alone and in nature to re-charge and sort of empty out others energy and regulate mine. I love to travel, try new things, eat or go out to eat, go to the ocean, hike, and listen to music. I love to be in spaces where I can truly just be in my body and feel into my environment rather than live from my head or in my thoughts.
Elysia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Yes, absolutely. I have a very big life story that has led me to some incredible gifts that I now share today. I am a trauma survivor and a woman who has been through deep initiations in life pretty much from the time I was born. This led me to expressing myself creatively through music I wrote / co- produced and then discovering deeply powerful spiritual energetic and psychic gifts that I now use to work with women on a cellular level. Now I am creating an online university to show women how to heal all personal, generational, and cultural trauma to transmute it and step into their power. I support women in healing on a quantum level and teach them how to heal themselves as well. I then teach them how to create crystal clear clarity in their soul self and life, so they can create a life of their dreams by design. I love working with women once we clear out the past wounds and limiting beliefs, to then showing them how to manifest huge goals and dreams in a physical, practical, and metaphysical way. I love teaching women how to connect with their spiritual self and learn to co-create their life with the universe. We all are a drop in the ocean, so I love taking women to the ocean and showing them the infinite power they can connect to through God and God’s healing grace.
When it comes to what I do, I am a shamanic healer, psychic intuitive, and self mastery coach. I love intimately getting to know my clients and empowering them with incredible tools for them to use throughout their life to reclaim their power. It is truly amazing what women can do when they are tapped into their spiritual source and natural feminine power. And I LOVE being that support system holding someone to the highest standard and cheering them on the whole way there. Women need to feel uplifted and supported so I feel so blessed to provide that for some pretty incredible women. I am so proud of and inspired by my clients. They are genuinely women I love and feel so blessed to have them in my life and to support them along their sacred journeys.
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Non – Creatives many struggle with a few things about the journey as a creative.
1. The creative journey is very similar to the journey of success. It involves lot’s of uncertainty, failures, losses, and many moments of wanting to give up… Putting yourself out there in ways that feel impossible or overwhelming. Working through areas of your identity you didn’t know you could because that is what is required at this next stage of your personal and creative evolution… Moments where you can invest or give everything you have and totally not know if it will work out or be a huge loss. It involves an immense amount of trust, surrendering to life and the journey, as well as trusting yourself and your guided instincts.
2. The creative journey is very similar to the spiritual journey. This includes a journey of understanding your unique souls blueprint, your generational and familial inner healing that needs to take place in order for you to step into your most powerful, authentic, and healed self while tapping into your unique powers and intuition. It involves developing your craft in a very sacred and devotional way, while developing your connection to your body and natural intuitive gifts. Spirit works with all of us differently so you have an opportunity to find out what language you speak the best and easiest so to speak.
3. The creative journey involves seeing the unseen, feeling it and trusting it, and making space to believe the somewhat unbelievable. This is how we make the space for miracles as well as anchoring our visions and desires into reality through divinely guided action. I can’t tell you how many incredible. magical, and out of this world moments I have expeirenced myself, with idols of mine, and with others that were a total co creation between myself and the universe, We truly are all creators and if we know how to tap in and use that energy with the universe, we can truly experience magic and miracles.
4. The creative journey looks very different from the “stable” journey of climbing the corporate ladder or taking the most reasonable, realistic, linear route that is expected. The creative journey can have moments of amazing abundance and opportunities, while also having scarce moments of facing the unknown and working with very little money or resources. Every creative I know, has known the feeling of a “feast or famine” type of lifestyle at some point in time where there where lots of moments of high highs and low lows… emotionally, financially, mentally, and physically. It’s a complete and whole internal and external process similar to working with a CEO. We are all CEO’s of our lives, our companies, and our creations.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
As a child I faced immense hardships and what felt like enormous tragedies, so what helped me cope was music and art. What helped me thrive through the toughest moments of my life was continual self expression. Could you imagine feeling one way with all of you heart and not having any outlet to express it? To walk around bottling up all your feelings, or worse, completely suppress who you are so no one can see or feel the real you… Complete and total freedom in my Self Expression is the reason behind my creative journey. It’s creating my own safe space to me myself and express the fullness of who I am and how I feel at any given moment. Creativity is in my blood. It is in how I speak, how I dress, how I style my hair, and so much more. It is creating the space to fully accept, embrace, and embody who I am while giving others complete permission to do the same. My journey is a journey of self love, self exploration, and sharing that with an open and vulnerable heart.
