We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Elsie Ahachi a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Elsie , thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
For as long as I can remember, creativity has been a part of who I am. Growing up, there was always music playing around me, and that naturally drew me in. Although I wasn’t sure where it would lead me, especially after majoring in computer science (I’m still not entirely sure), I’ve found joy in talking about music and creating content around it. It’s allowed me to express my creativity and connect with others who share the same passion. I’m still figuring things out but it’s been amazing to see my content resonate with so many people, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Keeping it simple, my name is Elsie, and I love music. I love listening to it, talking about it, and creating content around it. I stumbled into content creation by making videos about music I was passionate about and sharing them on TikTok. I started my account in March 2022, just for fun, but it took off unexpectedly. So many people connected with my content, and I’m so grateful for that.
This journey has been amazing and keeps opening doors for me in the industry. I’ve had the chance to collaborate with some of my dream brands and companies, and I’ve even had the privilege to meet and interview some of my favorite artists!
Consistency is key for me, and seeing the progress I’ve made is something I take pride in. I’m super passionate about what I do, and I hope my journey inspires others to chase their dreams

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a being a creative in my opinion, is watching your ideas finally come to life. I don’t think I’ll ever get over that feeling.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn, break free from my own thoughts, and simply take that first step in sharing my content. I’ve always been a bit too critical of myself but I’ve learned over time that we’re often our own biggest critics. I pushed myself to chase my dreams even when fear held me back. I learned that you don’t have to be perfect from the start; everything falls into place as you go. Overcoming ‘perfection paralysis’ was a game-changer. Initially, I would obsess over every detail, holding back ideas for weeks or even months, all because I wanted everything I put out to be flawlessly perfect.
