Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Elle Roy, and I’m the founder of Coastal Creative Consulting headquartered in beautiful Rhode Island. Having worked directly for the Global Heads of Sales at multiple large tech companies, I understand how to use marketing strategies to drive revenue. Whether you want to increase exposure for your brand, need an extra set of hands for a mission critical project or you’re looking to establish a longer partnership, I’m here for you.

With over 20 years experience in Marketing, Events, Project Management and Operations at companies such as Spotify & AOL, I welcome the opportunity to partner with you. I work with passion, integrity and joy and look forward to learning about how I can help you achieve your North Star goals.

Have you ever had to pivot?

I was laid off from my last corporate marketing job in August of 2023 and began a long, frustrating job search. I would make it to the finals for a role only to not receive an offer. My confidence in myself as a marketer and an employee had been worn thin, and I didn’t know what to do next.

In January of 2024, I started working with a career coach, the amazing Angela Fontaine at Seraph Strategies. I told her that I couldn’t keep doing the same thing with my job search and expect a different result. I felt like I was starting to lose my mind!

Angela asked me if I would ever consider going out on my own. I told her ABSOLUTELY NOT! Working for myself felt incredibly daunting, scary and out of control. In our next session, she asked me about it again. I told her no, but I started to think about it more. Finally in March of 2024, I made the decision to give it a try. I could continue to bet on other companies, bosses and an ever-changing corporate landscape, or I could bet on myself.

I decided to bet on myself.

On April 22, 2024, I launched Coastal Creative Consulting! It was and still is scary at times, but I don’t regret a thing. Creating my own company after two decades in the corporate world was exactly what I needed to do. I started with one, small project for my first client. Now, I have four retainer clients and a consistent client base.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

While I can think of countless books, films and other sources that have made an impression on me, my family has had the single greatest impact on my life.

My parents taught us to say what we mean, and mean what we say. I true to infuse this level of integrity into my business every day. I want my current clients, partners, industry colleagues and potential clients to know they can count on me for honesty, transparency, open communication and accountability.
