We were lucky to catch up with Elle Eminense recently and have shared our conversation below.
Elle, appreciate you joining us today. What was your school or training experience like? Share an anecdote or two that you feel illustrate important aspects or the overall nature of your schooling/training experience.
I began my coaching career as a massage therapist. I still remember the charming building classes were in, where we would attend every day. I loved learning about massage. I found the body fascinating and the work relaxing. I, though, could never sit still..
One day, I came to school with a hula hoop and got permission to dance in the back of class, because I shared with them I was a kinetic learner. The teachers loved it! At first they didn’t think I could possibly be able to do both things at once, but once we started doing massage trades and taking tests they quickly became believers.
Not only was I a master at my craft, knowing exactly how and where to touch the body intuitively, but I passed all my tests with the highest marks in the school.
Learning at a school with such an open mind really served me. This is where I was introduced to Reiki as well, and quickly fell in love with that modality.
I still offer bodywork and reiki to some of my clients a decade later. My sessions and coaching also involves somatic therapy, too, because I learned early on the importance of movement. :)
Elle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I grew up in Indiana where there really wasn’t much alternative medicine. As soon as I could, I left for college and ended up in Chicago where I joined the circus. Yep, I started working for an event production company that would get paid to do shows at the nightclubs and for corporate!! It was so much fun.
Because I was also deeply in need of my own healing, I immersed myself in healing modalities that would benefit me. Massage, Reiki, Yoga.. all these things became a huge part of my lifestyle. I saw such drastic changes in myself, I knew others needed the same kind of support – so I started to combine my love of creativity with my healing work. Growing up, my parents had a bad relationship so I learned nothing about sex or love. Makes total sense why I became obsessed with it!!!
I love helping my clients find both freedom in their bodies and their minds. There is SUCH a correlation! We can’t strengthen just once muscle group so why would we ever just train our minds and not our bodies or vice versa?
That’s how I developed my programs: to support the Being as a whole. Now, I get to help men and women everywhere create their lives, their relationships, and their careers on their own terms. It’s such a treat!! Seeing my clients go from depressed or conflicted with their truth – to living boldly and fully expressed is such a dream.
We are all each other’s muses, so when one person finds their inspiration (that special spark) the people around them are also given permission to shine.
What stands out about my work is the creative and intuitive aspects I bring. I have a huge tool kit and can channel the exactly modality for whatever my client’s soul needs. It’s so beautiful.
I love working with my clients in 1-1 online containers and group programs, but my absolute fave is the Immersive packages where multiple coaches come together over a weekend or a few days to really support my clients in finding their Heart’s Home again.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Such a great question.
My answer is Yes, and..
Although I would choose the same profession ( I educate and entertain through erotic activism, supporting men and women in owning their liberated expression in order to create the lives and relationships of their dreams)
However!! I would start a different way. I would actually have started off with my artist career and then built the intimacy coaching on top of that. I started studying self-love and spirituality because *I* needed to learn it. Same with tantra and relational communication.
Had I started with being an artist, I imagine I would have had more of a beloved and been able to teach because we were in it together. This could all be a story though. I actually trust how I got into the field because it happened exactly how it needed to. I think I’m excited to finally be merging my worlds, is all.:)
Have you ever had to pivot?
OH! I love the sacred pivot.
For me, it was all the same pivot. I had to stop drinking and partying like it was my job, so that I could truly live the path I had been studying and, soon to be, teaching.
It was a massive awakening that shifted everything! From the quality and caliber of the clients to how I felt on a daily basis was exponentially better.
I highly recommend pulling all your energy from things that drain you, or shame you, and to focus fully on what you deeply care about and what nourishes your soul.
