We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Elle Ebizadeh a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Elle, thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
After two decades of entrepreneurship, building and ultimately selling several companies, a moment arrived seven years ago when I moved from my recycling business to start working in commercial real estate. It was during this shift that I had a profound realization about my decade-long relationship. Surprisingly, things didn’t go the way I thought they would. This made me think a lot about how I do well in business compared to how love works .
Despite over ten years of therapy, I found myself excelling in professional domains, yet struggling for genuine, warm connections in matters of the heart. This realization led me to a transformative turning point — the introduction to the “Calling in ‘The One'” process.
At that moment, everything started to come together. I realized I was so busy trying to make my partner happy that I overlooked the crucial person: myself.
The “Calling in ‘The One'” process gave me with the tools to change how I think about love and life. It helped me find the real me, which made it easier to connect with others.
This experience underscores the profound importance of self-love and our quest for meaningful relationships. It’s a lesson that continues to shape my personal and professional journey to this day.
Elle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a relationship coach, my journey has been marked by years of dedicated self-improvement, leading me to become the person I am today. Embracing the belief that every day is an opportunity for learning and growth, my passion lies in supporting young entrepreneurs to cultivate and nurture loving relationships with themselves, life partners, family, and friends. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients to create a safe and nurturing space within themselves, allowing them to embrace their authentic or higher self. Through this transformation, they are better equipped to attract individuals who resonate with their true essence as life partners, friends, and even business partners.
To develop a clear vision of the kind of relationship they want to build, I invite them to explore questions related to their intentions, values, boundaries, and expectations. By addressing these important areas, they will not only gain clarity about what they are looking for in a partner but also gain a deeper understanding of their own needs and wants.
Developing a clear vision of the kind of relationship one wants is not just about finding someone else, but also about knowing oneself better. Self-reflection is crucial for developing a clear vision of the kind of relationship one desires. Knowing oneself deeply and understanding one’s own needs are fundamental to building a successful and fulfilling relationship with someone else. It’s important to note that developing a clear vision of a desired relationship is an ongoing process. As individuals grow and change, their needs and wants may evolve as well. So, clarity about the kind of relationship one wants might require periodic self-assessment and adjustment to stay in alignment with personal growth and development.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
In the field of relationship coaching, empathy and active listening are incredibly valuable. Understanding and truly connecting with clients on an emotional level allows for more effective guidance and support. Additionally, a genuine passion for helping others navigate their relationships and a non-judgmental approach can bring trust and openness, which are crucial for meaningful progress. Finally, ongoing self-reflection and a commitment to personal growth are essential for staying attuned to evolving dynamics in relationships and continuously improving as a coach.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Absolutely, I would choose the same profession without hesitation. The journey of being a relationship coach has been incredibly fulfilling and personally transformative. Witnessing the positive impact on my clients’ lives as they navigate the complexities of love and connection is a source of immense joy and purpose. It’s a privilege to guide individuals towards healthier, more authentic relationships. This profession aligns perfectly with my passion for personal growth and my belief in the transformative power of love and meaningful connections.
