Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elle Antoinette. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Elle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
Many of the women who come to work with me are usually overworked high earning women who are burned out and need effective self-care in order to restore balance and freedom in their lives. There was this one client who struggled with success guilt and people pleasing so much that it had caused her to start having anxiety attacks. The best advice I gave that client is that “Self-care is the key fundamental of every single relationship because you set the tone of how other people treat you by the way you treat yourself.” This is usually the first thing I say to all of clients because I believe it to be true. When I say this it normally hits the client like a ton of bricks. This particular client was forced to take a hard look at how she actually viewed herself in terms of feeling worthy and valuable. The client was then able to identify the energy zappers in her life, prioritize her well-being by setting and sticking to her boundaries. This has resulted in her feeling more free, at peace and more balanced than she has in the last two years.

Elle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
They say that business is by product of problems. Well I was the problem..lol. I am a FORMER overworked, exhausted burnout people pleaser. All of this changed in 2018, when a life changing event caused me to take hard look at the way I viewed myself. I put everything and everyone before my well-being and it caused me to completely crashed mentally, emotionally and physically. I had to take myself off of the back burner and put myself in first place. I went into a reclusive state by immersing myself into my relationship with my GOD. This was the start of my healing journey, the awakening of my authentic self and the birth of my self-care coaching practice.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I wish I could narrow it down to one, but it’s really two. First, I would have to say creating video content on social media has been the fastest way I have been able to grow my clientele. I think people think that you have to spend a bunch of money on ads, I don’t agree. I personally believe that powerful messaging in the form of words, the use of video and audio recordings are impactful in attracting the right type of client. The second most effective strategy has been word of mouth from former clients. I believe nothing speaks louder than the voice and results of a satisfied client. When you get a great result from a product or service, you are more than likely to share or talk about it with a friend.I believe good work brings forth good results which begets referrals.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
I think the most helpful thing for succeeding in my field next to faith is consistency. Showing up can be the hardest, but most beneficial part of business.
