Hi Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Developing my brand, Double E by Elizabeth Marie (Elevating Entrepreneurs through empowerment and education) has been the most meaningful thing to me so far. The idea around my business was to create a platform that could uplift the entrepreneur community and guide them as they built their businesses. My vision is to build a network for small business owners where they can share how they built their brand and develop a connection to the mindset of other entrepreneurs where they can learn and grow from each other or inspire those wanting to start a business. I noticed throughout life there are not enough positive platforms that uplift people like this and highlight their businesses. To me, we do not dull our own light by helping someone’s shine brighter and my goal is to help others be recognized for their hard work and success as it is not easy to be an entrepreneur (speaking from experience haha)! So why not uplift each other and help each other grow, we are better together as the Double E Network!

Elizabeth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Marie and I am super passionate about entrepreneurship and building something for yourself and/or your family. I think it is priceless to go after your dreams and create something you are proud of and excited about! I think people with vision go very far in life and make a big difference in our communities and the lives of others. I got into building my brand, Double E by Elizabeth Marie because I wanted to build a platform for entrepreneurs and creatives to connect, share and grow and learn from each other. Double E’s mission statement is Elevating Entrepreneurs through empowerment and education and that is the goal behind everything we do. Double E is a platform where entrepreneurs share how they build their brands, obstacles they have overcome and tips to help others wanting to get into their field or who are already in business ownership. I host interviews online, in studio or on-site that promote and elevate and educate others on your brand. I also sell a couple of cool designs – short sleeve shirts – Built Local Elevating You with the Dallas Skyline and Double E Network long-sleeves and crewnecks that support the brand and are a talking point for you! What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Seeing other people light up when they talk about their businesses, when they share about the obstacles they have overcome to get where they are going. I love when they share their biggest struggles and how they turned them into their biggest victories. I love seeing other people win and be successful- it is really inspiring and inspires me to keep going and continue building my brand.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

There are so many amazing books that have helped me. A few of my favorites are The Lean Startup, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Bringing Out the Best in People ,The Compound Effect and The Referral of A Lifetime. A few podcasts also inspire me like How I Built This, The Boss Babe Podcast, Don’t Keep Your Day Job, and Super Soul. I also watch some YouTube videos on success-related topics from Oprah or Jordan.
