We recently connected with Elizabeth Lawson and have shared our conversation below.
Elizabeth , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the most important things small businesses can do, in our view, is to serve underserved communities that are ignored by giant corporations who often are just creating mass-market, one-size-fits-all solutions. Talk to us about how you serve an underserved community.
At EXIT Real Estate Experts East, we’re all about making a real difference in our community, especially for those who often get overlooked when it comes to owning a home. I’m involved with the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance and The Nashville Industry Fund, which is super close to my heart. This fund helps folks in music, arts, and service industries—who really make Nashville tick—get the down payment support they need to buy a home.
We’ve also got team members who are part of NAHREP and NAREB. Having such a diverse group means we really get the unique needs of our clients and can offer the kind of personalized help that makes a difference.
At our firm, it’s not just about selling houses. It’s about building a supportive community, embracing everyone, and making sure buying a home isn’t just a dream for the few. We’re here to help everyone step up to a new home and a better future.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi there! I’m Elizabeth Lawson, the heart behind EXIT Real Estate Experts East here in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee. I jumped into the real estate world back in 2019 because I’ve always loved the idea of helping people find not just houses, but homes where they can make real memories.
At EXIT Real Estate Experts East, we’re all about making the real estate process smooth and personal, especially for folks moving to Nashville from out of state or buying their first home. We know the ins and outs of the market here, and we love to use that knowledge to help our clients find the perfect spot.
Beyond selling homes, I’m super passionate about giving back to our community. I sit on the boards of three local nonprofits, and our office really tries to put heart into everything we do—that’s part of what makes working with us different.
What I’m really proud of? It’s the way our team has grown and how we manage to keep our values at the core of our work. If you’re looking for a realtor, know that with us, you’re getting more than just expertise—you’re getting a group of people who really care and who are here to support you and the community.
Can’t wait to help more people love Nashville as much as we do. Let’s find your place in this amazing city together!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
My best source of new clients is networking with agents around the country. I believe in creating a community of like minded agents who not only want to help their clients move/reach their homeownership goals but want to help them lay down roots in the cities they call home.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I met my business partner, April Harrington in 2018 when my husband and I were looking to buy a home. She made real estate look so fulfilling I couldn’t help but be drawn into this industry
