Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elizabeth Inglese. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Elizabeth, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Producing high quality live music experiences within the city of Seattle is super important to me as it allows for me to share and spread my passion for artists and their music to other people.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am the the co-owner of and live music producer at YES Music Productions in Seattle, WA. We produce national and international tours as well as regional musicians
within the alt-electronic and gothic genres of music across Seattle’s independent music venues
to include Clock-Out Lounge, Madame Lou’s, The Central Saloon, El Corazon, and Substation. In
just three short years YES Music Productions has moved to the forefront of the alternative live
music scene in Seattle via my driving passion for this music and ability to engage and network with a variety of touring agencies, talent buyers, musicians, DJs, and production specialists. When not producing live
music I works as a visual designer for local government in Seattle as well as serve as a
strategic communications manager in the US military reserve, and also volunteer at a regional
animal sanctuary. My education includes an MA in Communication Arts as well as a BA in
Multimedia Arts and an AA in Fine Arts.
It was the passion for this music and the joy it brings me that lead me to want to share the music with others in a more strategic and impactful way, other than inviting my friends to shows I was attending. It was then that my business partner Yasha and I decided to form an LLC and officially start bringing this music that we so enjoy, to others in a more professional way.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Seeing the impact of the live music shows we produce on others … Watching folks in the crowd at our shows become immersed in the music and be evoked by it in the same manner we are is truly inspiring and motivating. Also, being able to help up and coming regional artists grow their audience by strategically aligning them with larger international and national tours is super rewarding.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
It was a process building a network of resources to be able to do this job – talent buyers, bookers and promoters all up and down the west coast, as well as production specialists, bands, managers and DJs. That sort of information is not given to you, so the work has to be put in to connect with all these people who bring value to the industry.
