We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Elizabeth Gagnon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Elizabeth below.
Elizabeth , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The legacy I love to leave behind is the metaphor of t-e-a. Bringing communities and countries together with words and storytelling. To have communities, schools and businesses talking tea. Not the beverage but the adversity of mankind. Have others say remember that woman with the t-e-a. Have schools and community events with tea parties of celebrating life within ourselves. Have a memorial celebrating the lives of everyone. Bringing humanity back home to us all.
Elizabeth , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into the tea at the age of four. My Oma taught me the tea of life. Knowing I would have to stay strong and serve strong. Through the words of the past presence and future like the great time travel of us all. I bring different to the table a good homestyle open discussion on different teas. The teas of life that my guests bring. I serve real life all walks of life. Give them a safe place to share their passions, experiences and memories of what it took for them to get where they are now. I don’t solve I just give insight to encourage others to share and grow. I’m most proud of my own tea my adversity of Overcoming grief, abuse, mental health and the bullying of today business world of different can’t fit in. I’m here to be that prime example and role model that yes it can be done. My mission is to show even the underdog gets a chance in life. I like everyone to know that they too can do it. If you just try and not worry about failing. I started in my home and then took it to community events then back home to the virtual land of interviews of over 67 countries and 105 plus topics. Have collaborated and written for top business magazines like this one. Have collaborated with my guests not clients. I build a relationship over a reputation. With almost 400 interviews in five years. I offer books speaking advocating and a voice for the voiceless. Started in 2015 and still working hard in 2024. I see my business taking a different turn in 2025 with a twisted life tea. Guess you’ll have to check me out or stay tuned for what next.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Backstory maybe one of the hardest lessons I had to learn. I had to learn that the way I do business is not for everyone. The backstory of someone telling me no one will get it if you don’t leave the limiting beliefs that I was given as a child. The reflection of I needed to change my mindset that it was not gonna be easy but I could do it. Over the years I fail alot but kept trying even when there was no support for being different. One thing that I have learn is the back story is just that the back of the story. In order to grow you need to look to the front and take those steps you may not want too. I hope that when you read about my business you see it ok to be different.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Here a story that show me and gave me resilience. The day i decided to do what was best for me even if others would question my ways. I strongly believe working on bringing the barter and trade back we can save small businesses like mind. By just showing up. The story of writing the tea books that are not like any other blooms out there. Like the story of Alice in Wonderland I take you into Miss Liz’s survival land of
t-e-a’s. Standing up for my books even when I was told they be stupid if I did it that way. Holding strong not on a best seller but the impact of a legacy of integrity and resilience.
