Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elizabeth Fraley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Elizabeth , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?
Kinder Ready and the tutoring business arena as well has developed into providing additional online classes for learning. Although face to face interaction and learning is the most optimal, online learning creates more opportunities for learning. Families have also found online instruction to provide a lot of flexibility when it comes to logistics and the ability to have recorded lessons to access at a later time. When a child is learning a new concept, being able to access an online lesson is critical. Some students love the technology component of class online versus live.
Elizabeth , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Kinder Ready is a full service company that provides knowledge and information to parents on school opportunities, educational curriculums that are personalized with the child’s interests in mind. We provide learning that is focused on early literacy, math concepts, social and emotional skills, even art and science experiments! Each student has a special goal or skill that they are working on. Many students love to the continuity of a weekly program to reinforce their learning skills and grow! Students develop many executive functioning skills along the way such as organization, following directions, among other skills. Parents and families learn and understanding the scope and sequence of learning at school and reaching milestones with their child. Students learn to plan ahead for both short and long term assignments on their educational path.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
One of my favorite books is New Get A Real Job By Scott Gerber- this is a great book for entrepreneurs because it talks about doing what you love and finding your real interests and applying them to your everyday life. This book has been recommended to me by multiple entrepreneurs along the way, now I am actually recommending it to others that are starting up a new business.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
One of my favorite books from my collection is The Startup Owner’s Manual, it was one of the first books I actually read before starting my business. It helps you organize and plan for building a business in a really concise way.
