My name is Elisha Mabaje, and I am a Nigerian-American born in the United States. Growing up, I had the unique experience of attending school in both Nigeria and the U.S., which allowed me to build strong connections with my home country and immerse myself in my cultural roots. This dual education shaped my worldview, and I gained a deeper understanding of my heritage and the immense potential of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
After completing my studies in the U.S. and earning a degree in Computer Science, I began my career as a Software Engineer at JPMorgan. Over the past five years, I’ve advanced through the ranks in the tech industry, acquiring valuable experience and insight. In recent years, I’ve noticed the growing trend of companies outsourcing work to regions like Mexico and India.
Alongside my co-founder, we saw an opportunity in this space. Our extensive education in Nigeria revealed the high level of talent in the country and across Africa. We recognized that there was a way to not only create job opportunities for people back home but also contribute to the global tech landscape.
This realization led to the founding of Nigix Solutions, a premier IT services company specializing in customized technology solutions. We focus on cloud computing, AI automation, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure to streamline operations, enhance security, and optimize performance.

How’d you meet your business partner?
Interestingly, my co-founder and I have known each other since childhood. We grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the same elementary school, part of middle school, and the same high school. Our paths diverged for about 4-6 years when he went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Notre Dame while also playing football for the university. After he graduated, we reconnected as we both pursued careers in the tech industry. Our shared vision and long-standing relationship naturally led us to join forces and build this business together.
Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
Like many startups, the fastest way to fund our business was through bootstrapping. Fortunately, my co-founder and I were both working 9-to-5 jobs, which allowed us to contribute a portion of each paycheck into a joint account. We steadily built up our savings, using those funds to cover startup costs, recurring expenses, and essential business needs. This approach sustained us until we began securing contracts, which then provided the financial foundation to grow and scale our business.
