Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Elisa Wiggins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Elisa, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
With trepidation and excitement intertwining within my spirit, I embarked on a journey unknown, leaving behind the comforting embrace of a place and a career I held dear. In this new city, a tapestry of unfamiliarity greeted me as I ventured forth, accompanied solely by my father and my bonus family. I had so many questions that casted shadows of doubt on my path, like where would I find my purpose, why here, where would I find a place to call home, who would I meet, and how would I be provided for? And I had two weeks to figure it all out once I gave my notice where I had been living. Yet, an inner compass guided me, a whisper or still small voice inside, urging me to seize the opportunity to begin anew. Enveloping the winds of change, I embraced the risks that lay before, relinquishing possessions and embarking on a cross-state adventure. It was as if God had been waiting for my arrival, doors swung open, revealing avenues of opportunities. A sanctuary had embraced me with open arms, a sisterhood of strong empowered women who became my compass, my confidantes, my cheerleaders. Together, we embarked on a grand adventure, a journey that would reshape the very contours of my destiny. And so it came to pass that within the span of a year, I unveiled my magnum opus- a Healing Arts Gallery nestled on the vibrant heart of Main Street in the enchanting town of Lake Havasu City Arizona. In our sanctuary of healing, we had offerings that transcended the boundaries of conventional care. Like alchemists of the soul, we blended hues of intuitive art therapy, yoga, guided meditations and vocal sound baths became our ethereal lullabies, gently guiding weary souls through the labyrinths of their consciousness, illuminating their hidden truths and dormant potential. With our sacred space, we unraveled the knots of trauma and PTSD. This was the first of its kind in a very conservative town. Life has always been a tapestry woven with threads of curiosity, surprise, and daring. Fear or risk was but a whisper, easily drowned out by the melody of high stakes play. For I have come to know that God, Universe, in its boundless benevolence, would always provide, bestowing upon me the most exquisite lessons, regardless of the outcomes. I was asked to trust the risk and it has been purely magical! And once again, risk, the whispers of destiny beckon me to bid farewell to the familiar embrace of the brick and mortar and take my gifts on a nomadic journey painting vibrant strokes of healing and transformation upon the canvas of the world. So, risk is ever present and welcomes those who are willing to take its hand.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
In the kaleidoscope of self- discovery, my journey unfolded, guided by the transformative power of art, yoga, singing, meditation and comedy. With each stroke of my brush, I painted a portrait of resilience, reclaiming fragments of my soul scattered by PTSD and trauma. Through the silent whispers of yoga, I found solace in the fluidity of movement and pause, unraveling knots of pain and awakening strength within. In the stillness of meditation, I delved deep into the depths of my being, unearthing hidden truths and cultivating inner peace. And with the alchemy of laughter, I transcended the shadows into joy. Through these profound practices, which I still do daily, I gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of myself, emerging from the ashes of my past, transformed and ready to embrace the vibrancy of life. Through this journey, my inspiration blossomed, giving birth to a healing arts gallery, Visionary LHC, the ability to create unique and heartwarming pet portraits that tells a story of their individuality, and sacred urns that became vessels of reverence, honoring the souls of those who have passed through the veil on the other side. I am most proud of remaining steadfast to my authentic self, allowing these gifts to be reborn in their truest form. I am available for hire, offering my intuitive artistic impressions to craft personalized works of art tailored to your individual desires and vision.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
This whole journey has been about unlearning and rewiring my brain to look at life in a new perspective, especially surrounding finances. I had a family dynamic colored by a scarcity and lack mindset even though we had all we needed. Yet, amidst the challenges, I was taught that love was the foundation and to find beauty in the simplest of moments. Through the lens of gratitude, I discovered that our mission transcends the confines of mere monetary pursuits. It is a sacred journey of creation, a divine dance with the Creator. As I peel away layers of conditioning, I realize that our true purpose is to create for God, to infuse our art with love, compassion and authenticity. It is in the act of co-creation that we find fulfillment, touching the hearts of others and awakening the dormant sparks of divinity within them. Money may flow as a natural consequence, but our true currency lies in the profound impact we make and the connection we forge with the divine through our creative expression. It is about the richness of connections, the depth of empathy and shared experiences. From these humble experiences as a child, I continue to emerge with a heart of compassion, determined to break the chains of scarcity and create a new narrative of abundance, both for myself and for those whose paths I cross.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
One aspect that non-creative people may struggle to understand is the inherent vulnerability that accompanies the creative process. I speak for many artists that it is an extension of our inner most thoughts, emotions, and experiences. It takes courage to bare one’s soul through artistic expression, as it opens the door to judgment, criticism, and rejection. There is a depth of emotional investment and personal risk that artists willingly choose in pursuit of their craft. It is a balance of self-doubt and self-discovery. It is a constant pursuit of growth. It requires resilience, perseverance, and a willingness to embrace the unknown. People often struggle to understand the true cost behind the price tags we attach to our work, encompassing not only the tangible expenses of materials but the countless hours of dedication and our uniqueness.
