We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Elijah Jackson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Elijah below.
Alright, Elijah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I knew it when I was around 4 years old. My mother would play the piano and I would sing in the mic. I was singing whole songs at 3 years old. So, at that point, I knew that it was something magical that lived in me.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have released only 2 albums as Elijah Jackson. My first album was called “Rememince” which was released in 2000. And my latest album is called “Immortal” just released in 2022. Both albums are available on all streaming platforms. My first album was dedicated to my mother who had died 4 years before. And it was produced by a series of producers including myself. Damon Criswell is now one of the biggest music scorers in movies. And Grammy award winner Robert “Sput” Searight (Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note, Toto) who is now the drummer for pop group Toto. Both producers had a heavy hand on the album. It also featured the late Kayla Parker, my dad on guitar, and my sister on vocals. We also can’t forget B-Swift who was a drum programmer on a couple of songs.
My new album “Immortal” was fully produced by me. And all songs written by me. What I like about this album is that it’s very positive and inspirational. But it also represents who I am as a man. It is not really a gospel album like my first one. My daughter was around 4 years old when I started working on this album. So you can even hear her on certain songs. It is a very personal album. That is why it will be my final album. I may release songs on movie soundtracks etc. But I will not do a full body of work in music on an album again. I plan to focus more on becoming a better DJ. There’s so much great music that we have now and I love revisiting these great artist and their songs and making them my own in some way. I am however working on a live concert film that will feature music from both albums. We plan to shoot it in Las Vegas in 2024 and it will be released on the CJC Network and it will stream on FOX | Tubi.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The reward I feel from creating music is that it soothes my soul. I have songs and ideas that I have not even released ever. And I may never record or release because truthfully I don’t do it to make hits. I do it to become closer to my higher self. I do it for the inspiration that it brings me.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
The best thing that you can do to support artists is to go see them live and buy the music you love directly from the artist. Streaming music is nice to find the artist you love. But I still feel you should buy directly from the artist. They have families to feed and take care of. There is room for all of it, it’s just how you use it to your advantage. We can go directly to our fan base and that base tells others. Word of mouth is always the best marketing strategy. And now because of social media word of mouth is now on steroids.
