We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Elijah Ezell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Elijah below.
Alright, Elijah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I feel happier being an artist. It’s an outlet for me. Though I won’t deny at times I’ve doubted if this is what I was meant to be doing. But I always circle back to the music. I find I can’t live without it

Elijah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am an up and coming rapper and producer. I started off as a child singing on stage in church and later became the worship leader in the youth group. As for discipline, that comes with time and the want for what you’re doing. practice practice practice…
What I believe sets me apart is that this isn’t just about me. My music is a reflection of my struggles, my triumphs, and my faith.
I want people to know that they’re not alone and that they too can overcome anything.
Growing up, I struggled with depression and anxiety, and music became my escape.
It allowed me to express myself and connect with others who were going through similar struggles.
In the end, all I want is to make a difference in this world.
I want to leave a positive impact on those I come across and be remembered as someone who used their talents to spread the love of Jesus Christ and His kindness.
I’m most proud of the progression I’ve made throughout this process. There’s a lot more in the music than most think. I do the whole process. From writing the music, to mixing and mastering it. Though I would love to work with more producers and artists alike to see what we come up with.

How did you build your audience on social media?
This is still something I’m working on. But what I can say about it is KEEP GOING. Not every song or video you post is going to blow up. Don’t let it set you back. Learn what you need to do to set yourself apart from others. Don’t think you have to do what everyone else is doing.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Be constructive. “If you ain’t got nothing nice to say DONT SAY IT”. There’s so much hate out there. What we need is support even in the most simple ways.
A like and share can go far.
I’ve been bombarded with many hate comments and that does nothing for you except tear you down.
But you also learn to have thick skin in this industry. You have to. Or you won’t make it
