We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Eleanor David. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Eleanor below.
Eleanor, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
There are countless acts but one that left an impression on me was a friend showing support when I first started my YouTube channel.
Some of my best thinking comes in my car. It’s like the stream of consciousness flows when I drive.
I’d have an idea or realization and want to share it! So I’d position my phone down by the console and record myself from this terrible angle. I had to keep my hands on the wheel so it was the audience looking up at me, I’m sure I had a lovely double chin.
Long story, short I was excited to begin my channel but everything felt clumsy. I wasn’t sure if I was connecting with anyone. There were several times I felt like I was talking into the dark abyss of the internet and didn’t know if I was making any headway.
There was a week that was…. A week. It was rough personally, professionally, mentally, you name it.
I got an unexpected package in the mail and I opened it. Inside was a phone stand that suctioned to your car dashboard. My best friend from college who was one of my first subscribers surprised me with it.
I cried immediately. I was so overwhelmed with gratitude. It felt like someone saw me, heard me and was genuinely cheering me on. The timing was perfect.
I’ve been so blessed. When you’re a content creator you are really pushed in a unique way. It’s one of the most challenging (and rewarding) things you can commit to, consistently showing up on camera.
Every time I’ve doubted myself, I’ve had a viewer reach out to me and affirm my message. This friend of mine went over and beyond.
Now my channel is known for “car chats” where I take my audience on a thought journey in the car. It wouldn’t have become a trademark if he hadn’t taken the opportunity to contribute to my vision and cheer me up on a day I needed it most.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Yes! Thanks for asking. First and foremost I am an educator.
I cover topics in social psychology, specifically how men and women relate, mate and negotiate. I do this by revealing subliminal messages in media that challenge the status quo. All with a spiritual lens. It’s a mouthful, but I cover a lot of ground. And it’s amazing how one thread of thought connects to many arenas.
My intent is to encourage critical thinking and create meaningful conversations between the sexes (which I have a lot of fun doing). I have a fantastic audience who is engaging, brilliant and offers great insight. I’m floored by them every week by what they share in the comment sections and DMs.
I am most known for my specialty in archetypes and simplifying complex themes in modern day love.
My work on archetypes is different than 99% of the internet because I teach men and women to embrace and animate ALL archetypes.
Often you see astrology, human design, enneagram or even Reddit quizzes give you one archetype to operate under.
My view is you have a dominant or primary one, but we’re meant to embody all and learn what to express when.
This is what I refer to as “range”. It’s my philosophy that embracing your masculine or feminine range makes you sexually attractive to the opposite sex, creates psychological healing and fulfills the spiritual quest of becoming more whole.
As far as offers go, I have digital courses, lectures and specific programs where I work with people 1:1. I share a lot of free content on youtube and instagram and also have a substack with my written work. There’s many angles I take my conversations, but all of it educates men and women how to connect harmoniously, by revealing subliminal messages that divide the sexes and distract the masses.
How I got into this work is my own discovery process. It’s no secret, what you tell others you also need to tell yourself. That’s the beauty of education and why the student-teacher relationship is reciprocal.
I went through traditional channels of college education and graduate school when I realized this was not what I was meant to do. Withdrawing from a PhD program, moving to 3 states, dating and finding my purpose in a practical world with spiritual meaning led me to earth shattering truths. It was difficult yet gave me the freedom and permission for my identity to be dynamic. I discovered that change didn’t make me inconsistent (as I feared the perception would be) but actually more magnetic, mysterious and relatable. The sense of liberation I felt from this is why I show up everyday to share with others.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
This is a great question. Presently it’s demonstrating that there is a “light” and “dark” side in every attribute and we need to be able to harness both. It’s important for me to challenge the idea that love is sterile, clean and only displayed through milk and honey. It’s also wild, challenging, fierce and even aggressive dare I say. There are many forms that love can take shape in. I’d like to eliminate the guilt, fear and perfectionism that are dividing the sexes and making it impossible to connect authentically. Part of genuine connection is accepting the full range of an individual (aka the good, the bad and the ugly). The more honest we can be about our flattering and unflattering characteristics, the more trust and longevity relationships can experience.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Inspiring others. Whether it’s inspiring their own creative expression, more confidence, a thought, realization, emotion, action etc. For me sharing my artistry and creations is one of the most sincere exchanges I have with my audience. There’s a quote that comes to mind, I don’t have the exact wording, but it’s along the lines of “for art to be any good, you have to put a piece of yourself in it”. This is what the creative process is all about. A mixture of catharsis, creation and flow state. When those three ingredients come together, that’s what moves the ones who witness it.
