We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Einat Shinar a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Einat, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
I actually have a few, but this one is probably my favorite. A few years ago, I had the privilege of working with a client who wanted to change her life, both physically and emotionally. When we first met, she shared her desire to feel healthier, stronger, and more accomplished. She wanted to finally feel proud of herself and confident in maintaining a healthier lifestyle. But it quickly became clear that her challenges with food went much deeper than simple diet changes.
Her relationship with food had been shaped by her own mother’s habits in the kitchen. Growing up in a large household, she watched her mother handle the pressure of feeding many children, often with stress and anxiety. That tension left a mark, leading to her own trauma around food preparation. She confessed to me that she couldn’t even walk into a grocery store without feeling a wave of panic. “I want to know what a healthy day of eating looks like,” she said, “but as soon as I park the car at the grocery store, I’m overwhelmed. I don’t want to feel this way anymore.”
In our first few months together, we focused on breaking down her fears, step by step. Slowly but surely, she started cooking at home every night. The transformation was remarkable—not only did she begin preparing healthy meals, but her husband started coming home earlier to enjoy dinner together. She even got excited about experimenting with new recipes and would send me photos of her creations.
One day, she called to share some big news: she had a new oven installed and couldn’t wait to cook more meals. Her health improved in ways beyond what she had expected—her dry skin became radiant, her digestion issues disappeared, and she lost over 40 pounds. She even donated most of her wardrobe after shrinking out of her clothes.
The most touching moment came when she posted on social media about a dress she had bought for her 59th birthday. Her goal was to wear it for a photo shoot, and she had hoped to lose 30 pounds by then. A month ahead of schedule, she reached her goal and slipped into that dress with pride and joy. Seeing her post brought tears to my eyes.
Working with her was one of the most heartwarming experiences of my career. She not only rebuilt her relationship with food but found a newfound sense of strength, confidence, and happiness in her own skin. Witnessing her journey from fear to empowerment has been a beautiful reminder of the transformative power of patience and self-compassion.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a certified nutrition, mindset, and health coach with a specialty in menopause, as well as a Reiki Master and EFT coach. I am also the visionary and founder of Food for the Body and Soul.
It all started with my own health journey, which began a decade ago when I found myself battling sudden weight gain and constant fatigue. Despite trying every diet on the market and eating what I thought was a healthy diet and working out regularly, I was inflamed, exhausted, and struggling to get through the day as a full-time language teacher. In my early 40’s,I had gained nearly 40 lbs and was desperate for a solution.
Finally, a friend started coaching me, and suggested I try detoxifying my body, and a cleanse to detoxify my body, and although I was initially reluctant, I was willing to give anything a shot at that point out of desperation. Within days, my energy shifted, the bloat disappeared, and I began to lose weight. I started sleeping better and my adult acne was beginning to disappear! My husband joined me on this journey, and together we lost about 60 lbs in just a few months. This transformation sparked a passion in me to help other women, and soon, I was answering questions and offering advice. Eventually, I decided to go back to school to become a certified nutrition, health, and life coach. Reiki and EFT tapping became invaluable tools along the way, enhancing both my personal growth and professional practice.
I transitioned out of teaching two years ago to focus entirely on coaching, with the goal of helping professional women over 40 who face the same challenges I encountered a decade ago. Now, as a full-time coach, I combine nutrition science, mindset coaching, and EFT tapping to help women transform their health and lives—and, most importantly, feel better in their bodies and minds.
My approach empowers ambitious, professional women to feel and look their best by focusing on far more than just nutrition. While I teach strategies for meal planning and prepping to simplify healthy eating, the core of my work is helping women transform their mindset and build a complete system of habits that support their overall well-being. Many of my clients are in perimenopause or menopause, dealing with hormonal changes that affect sleep, stress levels, and energy. Combined with the demands of work and home, these challenges can make self-care feel nearly impossible.
In our work together, I provide a toolkit for sustainable health that goes beyond food: we tackle cravings, manage stress, prioritize quality sleep, and build a lifestyle that makes self-care accessible. My clients learn how to optimize their energy through rest and relaxation strategies, reclaiming their nights for restorative sleep—a critical element for focus, resilience, and weight balance.
My program isn’t about restrictive meal plans or counting calories; it’s about empowering these women with the mindset, tools, and routines they need to truly thrive in every area of life. When they can prioritize themselves without guilt, they regain vitality and are equipped to show up fully—both at work and at home.
I offer 1:1 coaching, group coaching programs, a seasonal Reset program, unique workshops, and more.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I first started coaching, I welcomed clients into my home office and even hosted workshops in my kitchen or at friends’ houses. As my audience grew, I rented an office suite, renovated it, and began seeing clients one-on-one for health and nutrition coaching, Reiki treatments, and group programs. Then the pandemic hit. While I kept the office for a few months, I eventually had to end the lease. Although I loved the personal connection of a brick-and-mortar space, the pandemic brought new opportunities. I shifted to working with clients all over the U.S. via Zoom and even gained international clients. Initially, I didn’t think virtual coaching could be as effective as in-person sessions, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they are just as impactful. Now, while I still offer in-person sessions from my home office, I’ve seen tremendous success with virtual coaching, Reiki, and EFT sessions for over four years.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Several books and resources have profoundly influenced my management and entrepreneurial philosophy.
The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks was pivotal in helping me recognize how we often create self-imposed limits, particularly around success and happiness. It taught me to identify and overcome ‘upper limit’ beliefs, which has been transformative not only in my personal growth but also in how I encourage clients to break through their own barriers.
High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard emphasized the importance of developing key habits that lead to sustained success. What really resonated with me is how it focuses on high-level productivity without sacrificing well-being. It’s about mastering focus, clarity, and energy, which I’ve applied not only in my business but also in guiding clients toward high performance in their own lives.
The One Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan has had a huge impact on my approach to prioritization. The concept of honing in on the one most important task that will make everything else easier or unnecessary has been crucial for managing my time and energy, especially as my business has grown. It’s a principle I pass on to my clients to help them stay focused and avoid overwhelm.
The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins has been incredibly powerful for overcoming hesitation and taking immediate action. It’s such a simple yet effective tool for breaking through procrastination and fear, something that has not only helped me in making swift business decisions but has also been a tool I use with clients to help them act on their goals instead of overthinking or waiting for the ‘perfect’ time.
My journey was also greatly enhanced by my involvement in the School of Greatness membership program, where I had the incredible opportunity to be coached by Lewis Howes. This experience provided me with a wealth of insights on resilience, mindset, and the diverse paths to success, further deepening my understanding of personal and professional growth.
Tony Robbins’ Unleash the Power Within (UPW) seminar was another transformative experience for me. It provided powerful strategies for personal empowerment, breaking through limitations, and creating lasting change, which I’ve applied in both my life and my coaching practice.
Finally, working with business coaches like Christie Miller and James Wedmore has been invaluable. They have guided me through the complexities of running a coaching business, helping me to hone my skills and refine my approach to better serve my clients. Their insights on strategy, marketing, and personal development have significantly impacted my journey as an entrepreneur.
Each of these resources has shaped my philosophy around entrepreneurship, time management, and creating long-lasting, positive change for both myself and my clients.
