Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eilyn Reyes. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Eilyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear from you about what you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry and why it matters.
Corporate America is built on the legal foundation that corporations are living beings; in the past, that idea was grounded in fiscal protection; as a futurist, I think it’s time to evolve and consider the spiritual body of the organization, its time to look at the energy of decision making as a whole. My argument is simple, if legally it is a person, let’s start to treat it with dignity; let’s acknowledge the energetic body of the organization as a whole- this means all levels of decision-making need to be re-evaluated. I’ll begin by sharing some examples of what I have seen working with different corporate entities.
We are in a new reality; In a post-pandemic world with a rise in resignation rates, we know that Professionals need personal fulfillment in what they are doing with thier time; they need to see thier internal values reflected in their workplace, from my experience,I can tell you that most corporate values do not include everyone, nor were they meant to.
Corporations should invest in understanding where their employee’s values come from instead of creating values and expecting them to step into them; there needs to be an understanding that the corporate values indeed include everyone and are not made up of a risk management agenda to protect the future interest of the company, because what good is a company without a dedicated workforce?
Most of the workforce is of minority immigrant descent; our cultures are rich in connection, faith, hope, dedication and respect and; for the most part, spirituality is already a pillar of our mindset and personalities; for many of us, this is what drives us to be loyal, dedicated and hard-working employees.
What I’ve seen most folks share is that they left their jobs because they felt stretched to their limit. Surprisingly, it wasn’t always about compensation; it was about the person’s treatment. Over and over, I’ve heard people stress, “ we are human!” but they aren’t allowed to be treated as one because it’s not built into their corporate planning. A spiritual organization practises compassion and normalizes and emphasizes emotional intelligence as a tenant of success by modelling it. They train thier managers to admit errors, be kind, champion and encourage the best version of themselves and the team, help correct and limit thoughts and beliefs, and wish the absolute best for everyone.
To attract and maintain a loyal and dedicated team, the industry standards, specifically those designed to protect the organization, need to add more people-centric measures, such as the ones named above. The legal foundation should be treated as one component of the success of the organization, not the entire structure; the way employees are treated is the evidence of the dignity and spiritual foundation of the organization; when leaders exercise more spiritually centric focused leadership, they are raising the energy of the team and creating synergy.
The risk to Corporate America is that they risk capital gains if they continue to operate hyper-fixated on satisfying the board and maintaining profit without acknowledging that their business has a spiritual body. The spiritual body of most organizations is out-of-balance, and no amount of perks will create synergy; leaders need to upgrade thier IQ to include spiritual equilibrium.
Organizations can begin to solve the problem by listening to their employees; a corporate survey with open-ended questions won’t do; the questions have to be relative to their values and personal fulfilment. From there they can start to solve the problem by reviewing the current systemic issues within the organization. They can hire a spiritual advisor with a corporate background who can help them understand and evaluate their decision-making. They can be taught to learn about their blind spots are work towards improving them. To date, the energy of most corporations is predominantly operating on an excess of Yang energy- by that, I mean it’s rigid, controlling, and anxiety-inducing; that energy is used when building out policies, directives and objectives for the organization when trickled down to the employees it’s a rather negative and fear-driven agenda to comply to the standards of the organization.
And finally, The energy of the board, the decision-makers and everyone in between affect every member of that organization, regardless of their role. The great resignation was evidence that people need to feel fulfilled in their position, it does not necessarily need to feel like they are living their passion, but they need a level of fulfillment and satisfaction. That comes down to how much room an individual has in their role to exercise their creativity and develop their ideas; they need support and encouragement from their leaders to work outside the box. When organization plans don’t allow room in thier corporate planning for creative deviations, they are, in turn, agreeing to suffocate the free-flowing creative energy that they desire to have running inside of thier teams. creativity, or the blossoming of great creativity, takes time to nurture, and more time and resources will be needed to develop creative thinking.
Eilyn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I call myself a Rattler! I have always lived life to the beat of my drum, which has led me down some interesting paths. By trade, I am a legal services professional and mediator; in my former life, I was a contracts negotiator, and I specialized in finding the hidden risk in complicated data agreements and creating creative- low-risk high retention solutions for the client and businesses. I loved the high I got from working with individuals 1-1. I loved the creativity in troubleshooting problems; I loved finding the needle in the haystack; often, those findings created offshoots for new questions and exploring new leads. Eventually, however, I grew out of my role and desired more. With the encouragement of senior members of my team, I decided to start my own business. At first, I started a legal services business that I ran out of my living room. I advertised on Kijiji, and it grew very quickly! Over time my clients came to me with life transition and career questions; they wanted to know how I became an entrepreneur and how I managed it all being a mom; I realized I had a framework that I could teach others, and that’s how I ended up in the Coaching space. I have always helped others, and this role is natural for me. It blends my energies of an entrepreneur and nurturer into one; I have complete control of what I create and how far I want to explore it. I don’t teach anything unless I have experienced it and lived it first. This level of freedom and personal security is a radical transformation for me and what I thought was possible in this lifetime. I had to dig around my subconscious to find my needle in the haystack, and now I help others do the same.
I specialize in going deep into the subconscious world with my clients because I know that’s where all their limiting beliefs live; I know that’s where the risk resides and where they think their lives will unravel. I help them overcome that fear and remember their incredible power and capacity. I open my heart and give them all the nurturing they need; I’m happy to do that; a lot of coaches say that they don’t have the capacity for that, but I do. I have a big heart, and at the end of the day, we all need love above anything else, and I’m very proud of that; you can google how to run your business, but you can’t fabricate human connection and genuine love, and that’s the light I am here to share with the world. I want people to know that our porch light is always on, meaning when you are feeling lost in the dark, Energetic Insights is here to welcome you home and give you the warmth back that the world stripped from you. I stand for hope; from there, we rebuild your spirit through mentorship. I know what it’s like to fail in life; how society treats people who feel lost; they alienate them. I work with folks in crisis because I come alive in times of crisis and use my intuitive and intellectual gifts to maximize your energetic potential. The work is nothing less than radical transformation.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I am big on sending my email subscribers tons of motivational content. I share life with them; I get honest about what life looks like, self-reflections etc. I want them to get to know me. I work with folks going through very vulnerable situations in life; they are at a crossroads and want to see someone keeping it real and sharing the lows and highs of life. I also share energy updates so that they can prepare for what is coming ahead. Energetic Insights is foundational in encouraging people to move with their intuition, so I help them validate and unpack that a little further with weekly energy forecasts that break down emotions, setbacks or communication troubles they may experience so that they can begin to form an external connection with the world outside of themselves. Brand loyalty comes down to how a person feels in the presence of a brand, how it elevates them, how it makes them feel on the inside and out, and I want you always to feel the love; even in the dark, there is love, love is always available.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective way of growing my clientele has come from creating digital courses. As an online business owner, it was a natural progression to move into course creation and leverage automation. I wanted to grow my company efficiently and profitably; I didn’t want my life to revolve around my business; I wanted my family to take precedence in my life. Creating an online course opened doors for me to a worldwide audience. I also decided to surround myself with the best in the industry- experience matters! That investment opened up so many doors for me; I met a unique online community of entrepreneurs, learned about my audience and how to create community, and welcomed tremendous growth and accelerated my business and profit.
