We recently connected with Eileen Bild and have shared our conversation below.
Eileen, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Too often the media represents innovation as something magical that only high-flying tech billionaires and upstarts engage in – but the truth is almost every business owner has to regularly innovate in small and big ways in order for their businesses to survive and thrive. Can you share a story that highlights something innovative you’ve done over the course of your career?
Innovation comes from inspiration! The only thing constant in life is change. Over the course of my career there have been crossroads where I was faced with an opportunity to choose the direction I wanted to go. Sometimes, the way an imaginary arrow was pointing, may not have been my ideal path. However, I have found that the Universe works in mysterious ways and when I surrendered to the nudge and sometimes push, ultimately, the guidance was perfect, and things have turned out better than expected.
As a result of “change in the air,” over the several decades of being an entrepreneur and CEO of my company, discernment of what is before me has been instrumental in the innovation and development of Ordinary to Extraordinary Life and the transformations along the way.
It all started when I had hit rock bottom from a health challenge and I made a declaration to heal, mind/body/spirit. This catapulted me into an area of life I had never delved into nor studied. It was an eye opener and a personal awakening to what I had been missing in my life. A spiritual journey began….
When Ordinary to Extraordinary Life came into existence, I had elevated my knowledge, skills and training for a lifelong development of growth and helping others to reach their ultimate authentic self. Building the business step by step; year by year, something Extraordinary happened. Like-minded professionals, who also were expanding and had a heart centered disposition, began to reach out to me. Taking the business from local to national and then internationally opening many doors and continues to this day.
After the world came to a standstill in 2020, my husband (Trevor Bild) and I upleveled the business and created OTEL Universe – A Universal Voice. We shifted to online and became Executive Producers as independent developers for ROKU Channels. This gave a platform for Indie Artists, Movie Producers, Podcasters and more to have a voice, be seen and worldwide for their own legacy.
Living fearlessly, taking risks and using both inner and outer guidance, I have been able to have amazing opportunities to take OTEL Universe to new levels and expanded heights. With grit, strength and fortitude, anything is possible.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Ordinary to Extraordinary Life/OTEL Universe is an award-winning world-renowned multi-media and production company specializing in taking people and businesses to the next level. We work with Indie Artists, Entrepreneurs, Businesses, Celebrities and Non-Profits.
There is so much creativity in the world today and people are wanting to be heard and seen. Our services provide collaboration and partnerships causing an ever-growing community where each person lifts up the other.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
It seems when we have a weakness, there is someone out there who counterbalances it with strength. I believe there is an undercurrent in our lives that is part of our journey. It is with us to carry us through the ebb and flow of our experiences. The more aware we are of this invisible guidance system, the better our chances of blending with those who are to come into our lives in positive ways.
I have always been a go getter and multi-tasker who thrives on the drive to succeed and the creative process. However, my focus and boundaries were not the best, until I met my current husband and business partner. He is the yin to my yang, the masculine to my feminine, my protector to my nurturer.
Over the years that we have been together, he has taught me much about my strengths and assisted in showing me how to develop my weaknesses into effective decision making. Through much trial and error, having to give up in order to gain and trusting the process, I have become a better version of myself.
It has given me the ability to be discerning, enhance my communication skills, given me invaluable confidence and clarity of who I am, my purpose and my passion. In turn, this has enabled me to be a strong leader, better Coach and exceptional business executive for the advancement of our clients and the world.
Through Trevor’s unconditional love and desire to see me successful, he has been my rock and challenger. Pushing me to my limits yet allowing me to break through to the other side on my own accord. I strive to share the knowledge gained and the skills acquired with all my clients and colleagues. The learning never stops and the opportunities to go just that much further never ends. I am forever grateful to have crossed paths and have the opportunity for Trevor to be in my life’s journey.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I have talked about pivoting after the world shut down; but I want to share now a different kind of pivot. This is one of a personal nature as a CEO, Leader and Business Owner.
There will be people in our lives who will push buttons, manipulate and/or take things to the edge to see how far they can go. When I began to reach out into the world to make my mark as Ordinary to Extraordinary Life, there were others with not such good intentions.
As an experience repeated itself, just with different players, I had to take a step back and determine what the common factor was. Each similar experience had to do with boundaries and the other people way stepping over them. In one instance the business came close to being destroyed.
Through the manipulation of others and my “nice” demeanor, they would take advantage, making promises never to keep them and offering the moon, only giving crumbs. Over time I evaluated what “I” needed to do to stop the repeated mistakes of allowing these people into my life and giving them a mile to stomp all over me and the business.
What did I do?
I had to understand where my boundaries were, where they were weak and learn to say “No” when it was necessary, without FEAR. I’ll tell you, it took time, but the freedom experienced when you have control over situations and decision making, life becomes a whole new ball game.
The hard lessons learned and the transformations I had to go through were well worth the heartache and celebrations. I became a better listener, communicator and leader!
