Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eglantine Chauffour. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Eglantine, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
When we looked at naming our business, ENA Wines, we first wanted a short, simple and universal word, easy to remember and pronounce in any languages. So, a 3 letters name was perfect. The acronym ENA stands for “Eglantine & Alberto” and also represents “Europe & America.” This dual significance reflects our geographic roots – being from Europe and living in America – and mirrors the blending of Old World and New World influences in our winemaking.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
At ENA, our journey into winemaking is a poetic union of backgrounds, blending Eglantine’s roots in Cote d’Azur-Provence and Alberto’s Milanese passion for fermentation. Fate intertwined our paths in Margaret River, Western Australia, in 2010, and since then, we’ve shared a love for crafting vibrant, elegant, and complex wines that transport you to unique places and times. In 2019, fate led us to Mariah Vineyards on the Mendocino Ridge AVA, a magical place that inspired the birth of ENA.
