We were lucky to catch up with Edith Moreno recently and have shared our conversation below.
Edith, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s something you believe that most people in your industry (or in general) disagree with?
I think that most people outside of this industry see beauty issues as just vanity… I see it differently… when a woman changes her makeup and hairstyle it gives her more confidence and personality, making her feel stronger.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Edith Moreno, I’m a make up artist and hair stylist. For as long as I’ve been a makeup artist and hair stylist, I’ve always tried my hardest to give my best to the people who have trusted me with important days of their lives such as, their weddings, quinceañeras, or any special occasion. My happiness comes from when my clients are happy with their makeup and hair results. For me it’s always top priority to be on time so that 1. My clients feel comfortable and 2. To not have to feel pressured to finish quickly. I’m always keeping up new techniques and trends that are in the industry. I feel happy when my own clients recommend me to their friends and family because there is no better publicity than a happy client. I can say that I’m am a professional who’s responsible, loving, always in a great mood so that my clients feel comfortable and enjoy their experience with me. I always have a smile on my face and that makes me different.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I’m pretty sure that what helped me the most is my personality I aim to always do my work in the best mood and with a smile on my face because it’s what I love.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Definitely my clients recommendations and of course, during these times, social media, it’s a great help to reach a wider audience.
