We recently connected with Edie Allen and have shared our conversation below.
Edie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
I feel as if I was made for coaching, encouraging and helping my entire life. From helping to coach swimmers and soccer players in HighSchool and College, to teaching degree. After coaching and encouraging my own children through sports, I continued on teaching and coaching after they had all flown the coop. Becoming a Health Coach for menopausal women was a natural fit. I learned how to change my nutrition and therefore my mindset and productivity, and couldn’t keep it from the world. I had to start sharng, even before I was a coach, about how good you could feel, and perform when you truly fueled your body.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
After becoming a FASTerWay client, I saw and felt how my life and thoughts changed. I felt better, looked better, thought more clearly and my energy skyrocketed. I knew after my initial 6 weeks that i wanted to help other women feel as good as I did. I was afraid that a grandma wouldn’t have an impact or a real voice, but soon learned, there were so many who where suffering with low energy, brain fog, meno-belly, and I had solutions to help get them back where they wanted to be.
I take my clients from where they are, to where they want to be by customizing their nutrition, providing meal plans with recipes, providing 30 minute effective workouts that can be done at home or in the gym.. When you have your 6 week plan, I provide daily education as well as evening accountability. This service is the last “diet” that you will ever need. Once you learn this sustainable lifestyle of how to adequately fuel your body for success, you will experience food freedom!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The biggest compilent and assett to my business growing has been referrals. Having clients refer their friends, family has helped me to double my client base in the last year.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
After I had interviewed and been accepted to become a Coach, I was told that I had Breast Cancer and would need to have chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. The best news is that I got to live my lifestyle whil undergoing treatment. In less than 2 months after completion, I was able to study for and sit for my exam to become a FASTerWay Coach.. I defitely believe that the amazing nutrition and movement that I was able to sustain during treatment, restored my brain and body.
