We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Edglett Moreno a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Edglett , appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
I like to think that all my custom paintings are meaningful to each client. I’ve had the honor to recreate old photos and include family members to have a beautiful life long memory in a colorful painting.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m a 27 year old stay at home mom of 3 little ones ages 5,2 and 4 months old. I’ve been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil and decided I wanted to sell my artwork when I struggled to find a job that was flexible enough for me to care for my babies. Over the past 5 years my commissions have mainly consisted of acrylic and watercolor family pet and celebrity portraits. And a few other graphic illustrations, chalk signs, invitations and abstract art. My clients have loved gifting such meaningful paintings and they return for more! My favorite part is seeing the reaction videos of family members tearing up when seeing their painting for the first time.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to create a portfolio to start tattooing. It would be a dream to make a living off my art and help my family economically.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Although I’m still learning the marketing skills on social media, I love when I’m simply tagged and recognized for my work. Ive mainly earned my followers through that recognition from my clients tagging me and posting my paintings on their social media.
