We recently connected with Eden and Jay Trevino and have shared our conversation below.
Eden and Jay , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
My wife Eden and I, took a risk on starting our grassroots movement, Preciosa Night. It was something that we had only dreamed about. Creating a safe space for our LGBTQ + community to come together and celebrate Culture and Community.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
eden and Jay are Healthy Relationship advocates Living transparency and relatability as a couple inspire over 500 thousand people every day across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. They are proud Latinx content creators specializing in healthy relationship advice, and travel. In 2022 they started a grassroots movement called, Preciosa Night. A monthly event that merges community, Culture, and queerness all together to create safe space for their followers.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When we first approached event spaces and bars to host our Preciosa Night events we were met with a lot of pushback. Many thought we weren’t able to fill a room, others told us to our faces that Latinos don’t spend money, while others flat out didn’t believe that we could bring to life our goal of creating a safe space for our community. We are one year in and we have thrown 12 events in LA, NYC, and Mexico City. Not only have we thrown events but we also hosted the very first Queer Latinx Festival in Pershing Square in Los Angeles free to the public. We hired many local artists and ensured that all talent being showcased is an LGBTQ+ member because often times we are marginalized and not given the platform we desperately deserve.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, we started this movement out of necessity because we ourselves couldn’t find a safe and inclusive space within our queer communities in LA that catered to our community and culture. Once we started these amazing nights we quickly realized it was a bigger movement than we could’ve ever imagined and the bigger issue at hand is why a place like this doesn’t exist permanently. So after a year of putting these events together and dealing with discrimination and pushback, we are hoping to open our own queer space in the future.
